A few of my friends sat around talking about music and what songs had meaning to us. A friend of mine said one song motivated him through his workouts

The other got him thru his hard times.

The other talked about a song that allowed him to look at the world around him differently.

Name a song and tell us what it means to u and its impact.

Or tell us how do u use a song as my friends did as i stated from the start . Did it get you thru hard times or as a motivator in a workout or does it remind you of someone or a time in your life?

I had many songs that still have meaning to me. Here are two examples:

    1. Philadelphia Freedom by. Elton John. With its orchestral background supplied by Gene Page(composer of the Blacula film score) and Bernie Taupin's lyrics, I thought about how it would be fun to be an adult. I couldn't wait to grow up.

    2. Baker Street by Gerry Rafferty. I grew up listening to this song and it made me even more curious about adulthood
I had recently discovered that the song was about Sherlock Holmes.

    Here is a third.

    3. Where The Streets Have No Name by U2. When I was robbed at gunpoint, I was afraid to be.out after a certain time. I even travelled less(I rode a bike at the time. I was riding my bike when I got robbed). I had the song in a mix tape in my Walkman. When the song came on. I simply said to myself, "What the hell," and peddled faster and further. I had at that moment, reclaimed my courage and freedom. I was no longer afraid of the night. I got it back.

Two of my favorite songs is kissing you by jeith washington and shake you down by gregory abbott.

These two songs have great memories for me. Lets say this... if you have a date tonight then those two songs are great to set the mood.
