The OP says nothing about the white side of being biracial, instead assumes the child will only focus on his blackness because people may only consider him black. That is illogical imo. I used to think that way to, put black on my applications, essentially thought myself of only being black because I didn't have white skin.

What I essentially was doing was denying my white half because of not looking white outwardly.

That is fair, however you should pay close attention to what loki said earlier. People always want to define who they are based on their racial characteristics. But thats false logic; you are way more than statistics. How the world sees you shouldn’t define who or affect what you are as person, be it white or black, mixed it doesn’t fucking matter.
