Chi has made some very well reasoned, fact based, logical statements, backed up by research, not opinion. If you don't agree, simply just agree to disagree on this topic. As I said before, of course there are very real challenges in the Black community, just like ANY community. Yet it is always BM who are held up as the "problem" in any widespread debate of social ills.

When was the last time you saw, all in a space of a few weeks, major news networks (TV), and major media outlets (newspaper and web) devote entire shows, articles, discussion panels on the shortage of good WM, or BW or any other group? Every so often the same specious stats are trotted out and rehashed to drag BM through the mud, when there could easily be such shows devoted to any other ethnic group and gender.

Where is the research, have I missed it?Did she post it?
Well if the research is that good, why doesnt Obama use it? I would suggest Obama probably has better research which he uses. He is the president afterall. Do you not think Obama researches before he does a speech?..Again, this Coley study is probably not that reputable...

Didn't Obama just say a month ago that off shore drilling was safe? And that there were no worries and that the safety track record is awesome? Hmm. What's your point, dude? Because all I see are pelicans covered in oil. Them little birdies can barely move. But I guess Obama's opinion was completely right, right? LOL. Negroes, I tell ya.

I'm just sitting up here surprised that this white girl done schooled you every which way from Sunday, and ain't nobody laughing their ass off.

Hey, dude, just admit it, you don't take care of your kids. And if you don't have any right now, just admit that you don't plan to take care of your kids when you do.

    LOL

    1. dont act like a victim, anything that you want work for it and get it for yourself
2 never put your hand on a woman
3 be a gentleman at all times, give your seat to a woman and elderly on the bus, train, take your hat off inside a building, never curse and esp not in front of a lady or children
4 be a leader of your home- be loving, kind patient, to your wife and kids but be the authority and discipline
5 violence doesnt make you a man, but defending your home is not wrong it is what is required
6 you are the spiritual leader of your home
7 work is important and learning is important but God and family are primary
9 always defend your mother and sister, your home and your faith
10 you owe your country your country doesnt owe you anything

Hey, you really don't like reading, do you?

    -------------------------

Historical fact: did you know Black people from up North had to lie to the slaves down south and the freed people still picking cotton on the plantation, and tell them that there were dimes and quarters and 5 dollar bills just floating around on the street up in Chicago, just so those fools could pack their shit and move their asses up here where they'd have a decent chance at life? And still they were met with resistance. Negroes, I tell ya.

I guess, because Obama got one thing wrong we gonna assume that he got everything wrong..Right. Nice Logic there.

Regardless of if Obama is wrong/right. There are tons of articles that say this is a problem in the Black community. While we have this very " reliable" Coley study that I expect most of the people on this forum have never heard of. In the UK, this is a real problem and its a well documented problem. Even if you hold that Coley report as the holly grail, the fact of the matter the problem persists in the UK. Even if it doesnt happen in the USA, its still a Black problem.UK has a sizeable black population. We on the World wide web, not the USA. Just reminding you..

The Coley study applied to African Americans right? Well... Madiba is in the UK, the articles he cited are British. There is a problem with absent fathers in the black UK community. I don't think you'll meet anyone who will debate that so the Coley study is kinda moot. I've never heard of it tbh and a Google search didn't come up with it so it can't be that great of a study but regardless, this "study" applied to AFRICAN AMERICANS. This website is not just in the USA as he pointed out. Seriously... wow. Can you Americans just remember for one second there are other places in the world besides the USA?

You're arguing with a black British man saying that there are not problems in the black British community re. absent fathers. You have one study relating to the USA. He has first hand knowledge and a plethora of well research articles backing up that fact.

Hmm, I think I will take the Census bureau's stats over your snide derision backed up by not much more than hot air. You really can't stand to see progress in the Black community can you? Nobody is turning a blind eye to the issues, but there are advances being made whether you want to admit it or not.

You and I have disagreed on many a political topic, however in this case I agree with everything you wrote here, although I would add in brother and father, and just family in general to number 9.
