I'm doing a poll for both men and women.

I am in the process of trying to re-tool my workout regimen since it's become rather boring and repetitive. I checked a few websites that had questions to help you identify your body type. I asked a couple of my friends to answer the questions describing their view of my physique so that I could get an accurate picture of my body type and what workout plans would be best for me.

I see myself as a mesomorph/endomorph combo but those around me (at least based on their responses) say mesomorph.

I'll list the types of each for men and women:

    WOMEN:

    Cone (Top Heavy)

    Ruler/Banana

    Hourglass

    Apple/Pear (Bottom Heavy)

    MEN:

    Endomorph (Round)

    Mesomorph (Medium/Muscular)

    Ectomorph (Skinny/Lean)

    buy a mirror

exercise is such a intricate science, that they have majors dedicated to it..

the same goes for the whole biology behind muscle interaction, composition and development

not all workout plans are good for everyone, as I'm sure you know already..

some people have diets, which promote muscle gain, endurance, etc..

whereas other people, may have diets which don't work well with athletic goals

it's hard for someone to tell you, exactly what you need to do, unless you tell them, what it is you're trying to do for yourself..

are you trying to bulk up?

    are you playing football?

do you need explosive strength and power, as an Offensive Lineman?

    Are you a wide receiver?

    Are you going into bodybuilding?

    etc etc...

one thing that I learned, while doing some looking, was that bodybuilders, workout a bit differently, than your average wide receiver, or running back. They're trying to focus on individual muscles, to make them stand out as much as possible (you've seen the guys, with the CRAZY muscle definition on individual muscles before), and not necessarily going for increased strength.

All i'm sayin is that, unless you have some sort of reason as to why you're working out, it's hard for someone to advise you on a good workout plan.

as for body type, i guess I would fall into the mesomorph section ( i have enough photos on the web to verify that :) )...

My body weight hovers consistently at the 198-205 mark, no matter how much I eat or shit...

I used to be a wideout in high school, and was always around that weight, or 190, when I was younger

    I'm also 6'2, so i'm not a sloppy 200lber

    not one person voted endomorph

i know black men are supposed to be more athletically inclined ( ) than men of other races, but c'mon

i guess all the dudes here are medium sized gym rats

    :p

    nucca you lost yo mind

nothing wrong with heavier (200lbs is not heavy, when you're playing football with guys regularly topping 250-300) weights, if you take care of yourself

I knew guys that weighed as much as me, but were doughboys, because they were allergic to hitting the gym or doing cardio...

not that there is anything wrong with being a doughboy

speakin of peeps that just got finished rollin a J (inside joke to you, suprchic

    My height is between 5'5" and 5'6" and I weigh around 220lbs. I guess that makes a sloppy 200lber :D :smt100

I don't really have any weight loss goals....my main objective is to get my waist back to where it was a couple of years ago (29 inches).....basically size 28-30 is good enough....inevitably I'll lose a few lbs, but that's not my focus.

The reason why I had other people answer the questions is because most guys if given the choice between the different body types are going to call themselves 'mesomorphs'. I look different from day-to-day, so a mirror test on Monday might have me think one thing and a test on Thursday might prompt a different evaluation.

I've bulked up before.... senior year of high school = 145 lbs....two years later = 220 lbs

I wanted to see how thick I could get but now I'm content to be smaller (150-165)..... 8)

Guess i'm an ectomorph then lol. My height is about 5'10, but i've always been really slim. If i was bigger i would have definitely tried to play football (wide receiver). Because i'm not, i just stick with basketball. I'm much better at that anyway. 8)

My body type is skinny in some places, bulky in other places.
Like I have a small waist by broad shoulders, cuts in my arms & chest, just thick muscles in my legs, flat stomach no abs.

even if your brain were the size of pea, you could figure that out...and it doesn't take too much effort either, so you can be as lazy as you need to be. :D and like petty said, the avatar pic is more complicated than postin a regular one...especially w/ all that resizing crap.
