I dont buy the IT theory at all. I've been told even on this forum that I don't look like a woman who would date black men (whatever that means, I haven't figured it out).

When I was younger I wasn't often approached by BM. They seem far more interested in me now than they were when I was younger. I've always been open to dating whoever I "clicked" with. Race doesn't mean much to me, and yes, I recognize that as privilege - because I'm white, it does not *have* to mean anything to me. It surely is not a reason for me to date or not date a whole segment of society.

I would always make time for you. And some wine, soft music,...........a king sized bed, top floor of the double tree, hot bath....

....amazing view, cool summer breeze, 12 pack of condoms, cherry flavored lube...

...clothes are not required, or requested.

This whole subject is just silly.

Maybe it's because of where I live and was raised, but I've got no idea what you're all talking about. "Women who look like they'd date black men"? WTF?

But the general archetype of ww who date bm are usually the ones who are older and a little thicker than the average ww. That's why people damn near lose their minds when they see Ms. Ireland or Heidi Klum with bm but don't say a word when its Kirstie Ally. Get it now?

I don't think this topic was meant to discuss whether or not someone "looks" like they'd date a certain person. This topic is about the "IT" and not what someone looks like they'd do. I think it's silly to think that when you DO see someone you're attracted to that nothing happens to give that person clues (whether it's biological, subconscious, body language, giving off phermones or whatever). To think there's nothing that happens that other people can't pick up on in a situation like that is silly.

That that has nothing to to with what colour the person is, or prefers to date, which was the point of the original post. The idea that someone could tell, just by looking at them, what colour person someone would date is ridiculous.

And DK, yep, I get what you're saying about stereotypes, but again...I think that's more an American thing.

Sure it does if you're attracted to that person initially because he is a BM, or because he is a BM he is your preference (who you prefer to date).

I think it is possible to get a sense from someone and tell whether or not they are or would be interested in you and I don't think that's rediculous at all if you're not so hung up on the "looking" and "race".
