What does "UPPITY NEGRO" mean ?

Im seeing this term come up more and more. Uppity means Arrogant but why is negro attached ?

Aren't there arrogant people in all cultures ?

 

I don't hear people use it at all nowadays. That's a throwback from the old days. Pretty silly term to be honest.

And actually, when someone is described as being "uppity", it usually refers to those who are snobbish and would distance themselves from (more or less) "where they were from." Attach it with race, it's always the collective vs. individual theme applied.

 

Is this yet another example of YOU pulling the race card because it seems to suit your purpose because you are called for your ignorance? You have made disparaging and curt remarks about many people, out of ignorance, arrogance and your lack of information. Now, when you are called out for your character you want to fall back on the race card.

So, is this when you resort to one of your pathetic GIF's or you address the assertions with some sort of articulation. By the way, don't worry about your grammar or spelling as it's been abundantly obvious since you joined the site that you lack those skills, despite being a "black guy who's from the suburbs and doesn't talk or act like a black guy, who has activities that he thinks are other black people don't engage in, and who judges his potential dates as unsuitable because he has different musical tastes.
