It's a shame, really. I wonder what could be accomplished without the weakness of needing to be lead. Although, to be fair, that interpersonal need and bonding is also part of being a social animal.
True just wish we had the courage and strength to pick better leaders, the ones we have as a whole suck. Everyone wants to be a boss but no one wants to lead. Guess the elite figured out the only heaven that exists is the one they create.
I've often thought about it but we have long passed the tipping point. They have all the tech and money needed to keep the rest of us down until they decide to eradicate us all together. Personally I'm waiting on either a benevolent AI or alien race because humans are absolutely incapable of being decent. Every time I see homeless people on the street every time I hear some asshole trying to justify the murder or hunger of a younger person shows me there are far too many stupid amongst us for there to be any real change.
You wouldn't make a good revolutionary, TDK.lol. You need less pragmatism and more irrationality in your mindset. If the Russian tsars were overthrown by a worker's rebellion led by peasants at the turn of the 20th century, defeating one of the most powerful armies in the world at the time, a nation of 300 million where voting is still legal can easily flip things in D.C. Just need the right candidate who can't be bought; think a politically motivated tech billionaire with a strong populist bent. People need to have the guts to think about starting a real 3rd party even if it takes a few election cycles to get the whole thing rolling. Change is possible. Look what happened with the dismantling of the Patriot Act, which at one time was the darling government program of the Right wing. To overthrow systems you need to believe in ideas others think are impossible. MLK, Marx/Lenin, the Jacobins, Mao, Lincoln,Joan of Arc, Castro, Bin Laden, hell even Reagan, to be a revolutionary you have to BELIEVE in revolutionary ideas. Which is why nearly all these individuals or groups were perceived by their enemies as psychotic, unrealistic or insane.
