Haha, nope. My furniture is all at least 5 to 15 years old. I have spend money on stuff like paint, electrical, new kitchen, refurbished floors, de-popcorn ceilings etc since I bought my house in 09. Lol. I need a direct deposit to Home Depot, they know my name. Lol. I put 10% of my earnings into my 401k and then other savings as well. No extravagant spending on unessesary furniture unless its absolutely needed.

Don't get me wrong, buying a house was the best thing I ever did, regardless off the money I spend on fixing this place up. I need to change plumbing next. But oh, how I love my house!

You're ridiculous sometimes in your generalizations!

#1: There are superficial people everywhere...including NY. They aren't bred and kept in California alone.

#2: Driving a nice car doesn't make someone superficial. If you have the means to purchase a higher quality car...do it. Now, if he were to judge me based on what I drive...that'd be superficial. He doesn't do that though...because he's such a coooooool duuuuuude bruuuuhh lol :p

I fell sorry you feel that way, what went wrong?

I love it! Its MINE! Money spent on me. I don't pay rent and get nothing back. I can make it all mine. And if done correctly, it will pay back. I bought at the bottom so I have no worries, the worth of my house is much more than I spent so its all good. I get it back if I want to sell and consider what it would rent for, I am totally good, if I deduct that, I am so effing good. Granted, you have to pay some stuff up vront, but considering what you pay in rent and getting nothing for it, nah.

I will never rent again, ever. Never ever ever:)

    Step your bread up.

Superficial my ass, just because we enjoy the nice weather, nice cars and pay more rent means we are superficial? Smdh.

    Thank you!

Lol you don't pay more rent but I will say you probably get more space for your money. What's a one bedroom go for in LA these days?

Hahahahah, more space is a negative sir. West Hollywood had a 1bedroom with less than 600 sq feet for $1400 a month.

That's one thing I don't miss about LA! I can get 1100 sqft in SD for $1850. I make myself jealous sometimes looking at houses in other states and I see them going for $1200/mo and they're huge and gorgeous!!

Trust me I know. I been on the sofa this weekend watching HGTV and seeing what people pay for homes in other places is crazy however they don't have a beach anywhere local and no night life comparable to LA.
