There are always conditions on love.

You are very right. My poetic friend told me once that every emotion someone else cannot feel seems ridiculous to them. But it doesn't make the feelings less important or true.

I would say that my full menu is as following

main meal is loyality, no matter what happens, if we are friends- we are friends for the whole life

my entrée is openness, understanding accompanied with a big portion of tolerance

my dessert is experience of sex and the understanding that different sex partners do not touch the feelings between me and my lovy

the herbes I bring to the table are anger against ignorant and arrogant people, the bravery to do anything I want to experience and the will to destroy people, who want to insult or destroy my family members or friends.

I appreciate red wine, it reminds me of true emotions, passion and unconditional love

I love this Christine! So simply stated, yet equally profound and true.

I disagree. You can love someone unconditionally, meaning nothing they do or say will change the fact that you love them. You may not approve of their actions, and may choose not to associate with them because of that, but it doesn't mean you love them any less.

For instance, I love my children unconditionally, if one of them became a drug addict or murdered someone without provocation I wouldn't love them any less, though I'd be disappointed or disapproving of their actions. Love isn't blind, it just sees and still loves anyway. I used my children because they're the only people I feel that type of love for, however I do believe it's possible to love others in the same way. It depends on the person doing the loving, as there are people who simply aren't capable of loving anyone as much as they love themselves, therefore they could never manage unconditional love for another.

Bad credit and an attitude problem. I'm a catch.

This is huge, not many people even know what this is anymore & it's hard to achieve with some people...this scores big, huge points in my book.

Those two words are used a lot on this site. Of course "It depends"; however, I still disagree with the postulate that love is unconditional.

ha ha ha I love it. Truth be told I enjoy our volley of ideas and opinions. Very few people in my personal life agree with my views. I often ask myself "how boring would it be if they did.

    good show.

...another tid-bit I am far less serious than I probably appear to be.

Everyone has their moments! I too enjoy a spirited debate, most people in my personal life won't disagree with me openly, so I enjoy it when people do... providing they aren't just disagreeing to be disagreeable and they actually have a point. And you are correct it is indeed boring to be agreed with all the time, or to deal with people who can't or won't think for themselves. I learn more from differing POVs it seems, I tend to not fully consider things that are completely foreign to me, that's part of that whole obtuse/naive nature of mine.

Oh and I suspected you weren't that serious, it takes reading about 2 posts to figure that out if one is even half ass paying attention.

I'm extremely good looking, I bank on it...no seriously I bank on it....I go to the bank and don't even need ID, if the cute new teller doesn't know me, she's attracted to me anyway, so I don't have to wait in line. That's what I bring to the table lol

J/k, really though, I'm very level headed,Im very humble, I too can give unconditional love, & I have an extreme amount of patients if need be, not that I'll let anyone walk all over me though.

What I bring to the table is unconditional love. If I love you, I will love you despite your faults and celebrate your triumphs no matter how small. If I come home and dinner is made for me best believe I'm telling everyone I have the best woman in the world and she can cook too, top that lol. I will read to you when you're sick, sing to you when your sad, and have a smile and a laugh just for you every single day. I don't know if we'll live in a big house or drive fancy cars but I can promise you if I love you my heart is completely and utterly yours. Hope that's good enough IB :)

If its not uncondtional then I don't see how one can call it love.

Each person's "conditions" are different. Could you love someone that raped babies?

    No? An assumption of course....

    Well that is a condition.

Yep your right, lots of love comes conditional, other than the love you have as a parent for your child off course.

Interesting question. If one of my brothers did that my love for them wouldn't cease. I wouldn't treat them like strangers. Decades of experiences and memories doesn't just go away and even if I had to distance myself from them i'd still love them. So for love has no condition, no my attention and/or time does have conditions.
