I will tell you this, she wasn't very rude at all. In fact, the opposite. She was very polite but matter of fact. She simply said "I'm know this is going to sound back but I do not work with black men"

...but since then I've done a few shoots here, did some "House of Style work" then her friend was in my last issue. Blacks have to PROVE themselves here in the South...STILL. And while I don't mind proving myself as a photographer, I am not trying to prove myself as a black man.

 

By my definition that is rude behaviour.

 

Revenge is best served cold. Well done! She won't make that mistake again, lol.

What's sad is more often than not, the situation is reversed...many photogs won't work with up-and-coming Black models (males models, too). Charge them all kinds of escalated fees, too, like how you responded.

Another part of me thinks you shouldn't have said shit...charged her a non-refundable deposit, and then let her know just before gig day who you were. At least you'd have made a buck off the 'po' college student for your wasted time on her.
