No,some maybe a facade but,he was a human being with flaws. In the end he did not give up on himself.
Here are some statements written by others, Walter Payton was a beautiful yet, violent runner unlike most running backs he dished out punishment as much as he took it, there is no way his body could have absorbed the punishment without painkillers. I have friends who are dentist, teachers and housewives who became addicted to painkillers and had to seek treatment. Half the Christians I know have had affairs, that does not make it right, but it is not extraordinary in the least. This book is self righteous nonsense. No one said Walter Payton was Jesus Christ. This man died in 1999 may his soul rest in peace. God only can judge him and only God will judge us!
