healthcare man....HEALTHCARE lol there is a shortage of nurses in philly, among other places, which pay very well yet more people dont realize this shit and want to try their luck in other occupations. If I had to give advice to people thinking about joining the military, id tell them to go into healthcare with a clinical occupation. when you come out, there will be a job waiting for you, even in a fucking recession. Just make sure the hospital is a major one located in an area that relies heavily on it, and you're set. Good health never goes out of style......best believe that
it's like you people expect to be changing diapers or wiping an old lady's ass there are a ton of different fields within any given health system. once you get in, the possibilities are endless. You can be a lawyer, administrator, doctor, nurse, therapist, dentist, teacher, janitor...the list goes on and on. It's one of those few areas along with the military, that employs for just about any occupation you can think of. And like I said, people generally put their health first and don't slack on it, so business is always bumping even in the worst of times. i like to think of it as being on a self-sustaining ship or island.
I joined the army because my friend who joined right before me told me they could pay for my schooling. The CSUs weren't accepting anyone, and in the army, I can go to any school I want and don't have to worry about whether a school is accepting or not. I chose to go intel because it's the most in demand MOS aside from combat medics and bomb disposal, as well as the security clearance and job opportunities in the civilian world associated with my job. Also, intelligence analysts are needed everywhere in the military so it's possible for me to go anywhere. I got a duty station that is apparently hard has shit to get. The travel opportunities are badass. Hell, I'm going to Japan on Friday for 3 weeks. When I get out, I might try to get on with homeland security or something. And contractors make like 90,000 and above.
Ahhh, yeah. Forgot about that. From what I've read, Osaka is in the safe zone. And they didn't say anything about nuclear danger during the briefing.
