Alright, so after watching the Super Mario Bros. movie last week, I couldn't stop thinkin' about how awesome Mario is. With that said, I think it would be cool to have a thread where we can post our favorite video game characters, whether it be because we like the video games their in or simply because their badass. My reason for posting Mario.... Because he's the most badass mofo yet to unplug the pipes over at Nintendo. In the words of Mario 64' "Here we go!"
I definately remember breaking in my nintendo with some Zelda. I really enjoyed playing the Zelda games on 64' too, like the Ocarina of time. Another one I enjoyed on 64 was:
Ocarina of Time & Link to the Past are my favorite Zelda games, but of course I've played them all. A new one is due out sometime in the next several months & I wish it would hurry up. Another N 64 game I like is Banjo Kazooie & Cool Spot for SNES.
I was gonna say Spartan 117 AKA Master Chief, but I changed my mind. Going with Ghost from Modern Warfare 2. And Cpt. Price (S.A.S.) from the same franchise. A little crazy, and straight up gully.
A tribute to the Beat Em' Up genre... Axel, Adam and Blaze from the Streets of Rage One of my favorite games ever. the soundtrack was one of the best video games soundtracks I have ever heard, provided by Yuzo Koshiro. Sonic the Hedgehog. The Mario for the fast paced. Again, one of my favorite games ever and best soundtracks I have ever heard, and again with music by Yuzo Koshiro. Tribute to Ryo Hazuki from the Shenmue series. This game was ahead of it's time....and was also the most expensive game ever made. Because of poor sales, there may never be a conclusion to the game. SHIT!! This is my favorite game of all time. Everybody knows this muthafucka. No need to say more. Nightmare from Soul Calibur. Dude was a BEAST! Jin Kazama from the Tekken series.
Man, you guys are bringin' back some memories! Especially that streets of rage picture. My cousin and I spent many hours bestin' that game. We also spent many hours wipin' blood out of eyes after taking bullets and karate chops to the face, as one man:
yeah this game was definitely dope and underrated. The fighting system was the TRUTH. I remember going to the docks to 'get a job,' and having to figure out how to work forklifts and shit (you seriously had to work side jobs). Then after all that, you had to whoop some ass after dark. Like I said tho, the fighting system is decent but fights aren't very frequent like some arcade games. Instead, you plod around in the quest, getting clues and doing Mexican labor shit, until some dudes get braveheart on you. That's when the game shines. There are so many moves you can do, it's like playing a Tekken RPG. this right here was my shit tho if you havent played double dragon before with your best friend, you weak cuz
Man, I hated working at the hardbor for the first few dasy, but once shit picks up and you fighting every time you drive 5 feet in your forklift, t's badass. The last disc in the game is the best. I HATED searching for that phoenix mirror in the second disc. The first time I plated through it, it took me a couple months to find it. And is it just me, or did Ryo not want pussy? Had Nozomi all on his nuts and this dude just sits there........determined son of a bitch. And double dragon was the shit. Another king of Beat Em' Ups. BUT!!!! How bout this shit... GEAH!!!! Joe, Kyo, King and Benimaru were my shit!!! If you grew up in the arcade in the 90s and didn't play these two games, you were trippin'.
If you owned an N64, you owned this game. Can't even being to imagine how many hours my cousin and I spent on that game, fuckin' with the remote mines. Those were our favorite weapons.
yup James Bond probably had his finest gaming moment with Goldeneye. The 4 player mode was definitely tons of fun. The campaign was great, the weapons were detailed and plentiful, etc etc. Pierce Brosnan was definitely smooth in that role, but the reboot (video game) has Daniel Craig in it I think.
This game was the shit. Conker was sick in this game. Legendary on the N64. I love how they took a rated E character that was in Diddy Kong Racing and flipped it to make this game. So many laughs playing this game. Flingin' poo n' shit. Fuckin' memories.
It was because of you I paused the Street Fighter games several times as a kid so I could try and catch a glimpse of your loveliness: Chun Li from Street Fighter
