I got rid of a 20 yo friendship based on this. I could not believe how my friend was upset over these guys getting kicked out over "simply using the N-word" then is bozo friends went on the typical rant about "if they can use it, why can't we". Had to go

Ugh, ... Going to say something that I never thought I'd say; I don't think they should have been kicked out of school. Made to do some impossibly humiliating penance, but not ejected from school. It doesn't teach them anything and it endears them to the racist community. Bet these kids get lots of financial support behind this. No, keep them in school contingent on them serving the black community in some meaningful way.

Fair enough. I don't know which is worse tho. When a parent loses a child to someone that society tells them they can trust, it's shitty to troll the issue imo. I remember when "officer friendly" came to our school every year to talk to us as kids, in a befriending type of way. It doesn't matter what color the cop is, that's some dirty shit. It's like a life guard that drowns casual swimmers. What the hell are we supposed to tell our kids??

Painting all of them with broad strokes of honor, integrity and duty would be foolish in this age

I'd still call the cops if I needed to report a crime or whatever...I'm not stupid enough to assume that the 'hood' has my back

There are still good cops out there and I've met plenty

They may not turn in dirty cops but they'll lock up the random who assaulted you over 10 dollars or arrest mofos on the DUI shit

Something off about her story ...I don't think she said is was disgusting...I thought she said she had not heard that language in the house...the chef is more worried about losing his job than what happened...his fundraisers are doing well...lots of old SAE donating
