I never really got into watching the show, even after Forrest and Bonnar's epic blood bath. However, famous street thug Kimbo Slice is on the show, attempting to learn what he can from some of the best personalities in the MMA game right now. This season is all about the big guys, with nothing but heavyweights. Anyone else watching this? Anyone think Kimbo has a chance at the 'big show?'
I watched the episode from this season when a dude took "ground and pound" to a whole new level. His opponent was dripping blood like a faucet drips water... Anyway, I think that Kimbo has a puncher's chance.
Yeah, that was the first episode. The mat was very bloody after that bout. Rampage was literally disgusted at his guy's performance, because he had NO takedown defense and non-functional ground skill.
what he lacks in technique, he makes up with eye-damaging power. but, time and time again, guys that actually knew how to fight, beat him. The one guy he fought in a gym had some solid grappling, and made him tap out, while the other guy KO'd his silly ass with one (yes ONE) punch. Once he actually LEARNS how to fight, he will become a talented MMA practitioner, instead of a one-dimensional lunchroom brawler.
For you Kimbo fans, his fight is next week against a former IFL champion. Of course, rampage is 0-2 with two fighters losing to Rashad's fighters already. Now the pressure is on Kimbo to win one for Rampage's team. I'll definitely watch it, but I hope we get more than a one-punch knockout, lol.
Who would've guessed a thug-ass-lookin dude like Kimbo would have a glass head. Reminds me of the time when Suge Knight's shady ass got knocked the fuck out in front of that nightclub.
