Any of the queen's subjects know what started the riot over there? I know I'd get mad if my tuition went up like what happen in cali and the u.k. but not to the point of rioting but damn close. now I don't want them to go off with the heads of the royal but I'd love to see royalty tossed on their ass and that riot was close to doing that with the prince.
They trebled University fees. In the last six years, university fees have gone from £1,500 to £9,000 in some places. Meaning that, along with loans for living costs, people will be in debt by about £50,000 after 3-4 years in education. The main problem is, is that we have a coalition government and one of the governing bodies (the lib dems) promised that wouldn't raise the fees, but the other is conservative so basically the liberal democrats have completely gone back on their word. People just can't afford to pay money like this. It's basically stopping people from working class backgrounds going into higher education. See, attacking Prince Charles' car was completely out of order. He has nothing to do with government decisions. That was an absolute disgrace in my opinion, but some people are not using these protests as a way of showing their disgust with the government, they just want to fight. What's funny is, I know so many idiots that voted conservative and are now complaining about the raising fees, job cuts etc. THEY voted these people in!
I was looking at the pics and description of it and wondered why they chose him other than it would get coverage. I suppose it's akin to those church advocates protesting at Elizabeth Edward's funeral for press attention.
this rioting business is getting mad now, first it was just students, but now your getting yobos jumping around behind the camera when the news is on mouthing off, one student who was trying to leave got hit by a police officer with a baton resulting to bleeding on the brain
In short, Russia, they're animals for being so mad. I understand their anger, but they have no rights to go apeshit like this. They voted conservative! That's what they're getting it after voted conservative democrats.
I heard about this at work. welcome to America, where there is NO cheap tuition unless you're going to a community college, which generally hands out 2 year degrees. For the other 2, you have to go to an expensive university.
We don't have the option of community college, just expensive university. You guys have the option at least, we don't even get that.
