O.K.---so it *isn't* a nuclear disaster like the one thta occured in Kiev over a-decade-and-a-half-ago...

    But it's pretty damned close...

And, IMO, even *more* brutally cataclysmic....

You'll hafta trake it upon yourselves to pusue obtaining pix of all that "red mud" that looks so reminiscent of some scene from a cheesy yet disturbing '70's sci-fi flick...

Seriously, the horrific thing here (at the tip of the iceberg) is *all* the marine life in one of their bodies of water...ahve *all* been **totally, compltely, and irrevocably, irreversibly destroyed**

The *serious* queries here *have* to be:

How many households & families are devastated?

How many livelihoods have been destroyed?

    How many citizens have died?

And what is yet to come?

I wonder why we didn't hear about that over here? Or if we did, I missed it.

It's a wonder that humans haven't completely destroyed this planet already with our human errors.

There needs to be better protection in plants that have lethal waste and whatnot. If this continues happening, we won't have much of a planet left!

I completely agree. I've said it many times, for animals that are supposed to be smarter than every other animal on the planet because we are aware and can speak, we sure don't know how to protect our environment. Animals know to move on so they don't decimate their food supplies. We don't. We just destroy, destroy, destroy our environment, all in the name of the almighty dollar.

Dang nabbit. I could go on and on. Must.get.off.soapbox.now.

They did cover it Bookie, but we live in information overload. It's why the BP oil spill didn't even garner a mention from the Pres until after a good month.

Since there's always another story round the corner to distract us away, the ones we NEED to focus on get pushed to the back. Now if its the GOP and The Dems fighting, well that's front and center on the daily.

This one will quietly disappear, but the damage its wreaking won't.

    So true, m8...

But if ya opt *not* to rant....there won't be enough voices to be *heard* to behoove those responsible to *cease*, or at least *amend*, their ways.

It's all down to you, m8....
