    That doesn't suprise me. It seems that Americans like to take pride in ignorance and anti-intellectualism. I mean I'm not the most intelligent person in the world myself, but still.

    It's more evident to this day, especially with media plurality. People like to ignore facts and brush it off as just "another opinion."

    We're all bound by conviction, certainly. But there is a fine line to draw where if facts can be presented and yet someone still believe otherwise, they are just highly deluded.
