I think you might be republican so you might not like this answer, but it was actually regan who introduced the concept of lazy black people on welfare and made it stick. The GOP grabbed that shit and ran with it. Don't you love those GOP people? What a godsend they are.

But don't feel bad. He also brought the image of the Welfare Queen to the table and that stuck too. So see, it isn't only lazy black people on welfare. It's also young, unwed, single white mothers on welfare.

 

Really? As far as I've seen on the news when they talk about "entitlement programs" and welfare moms its always images of Juanita and Maria being shown. I never see any Ashleys or Meagans out there

 

I meant back in the days when Regan first brought those lovely stereotypical images to the awareness of the american tax payers.

Now it's all kinds of people on welfare. I'm blown away everytime I walk into a social security office and see Micronesians sitting there with their award letters for SSI.

Of course we did bomb the crap out of their islands, so who am I to complain.

 

To be fair that's the nature of being the biggest kid with the biggest stick. You don't see Lions apologizing to gazelles for killing them.
And even if we didn't bomb them chances are their country would have shitted on them anyway.

I'm not really making a judgement here...I mean, I am...but it's based on levels of fairness that don't really exist.

As far as the Micros (im sorry...thats really offensive and im sorry. I don't mean it here in it's slur meaning)...I wouldn't have a problem with them immigrating to the united states and receiving help for past crimes against them and their country IF OUR country would get it's shit together first and take care of domestic matters first. American children and families, people who have lived and worked here and were born here cannot get any help from our country and yet we will hand out aid to any person who shows up and says they need help.

I am NOT against helping people. Foreign aid is a good thing. But we look really stupid when we can give billions away to other countries but we have american people stuggling just to keep shelter over their heads and food in their kids tummies.
When you consider that most of that aid doesn't reach the people it is suppose to and would be much better served helping american people for the time being...it's just asinine that we continue to dole out banks and auto makers and wall street and other countries to the tunes of millions and billions..but can't do a damn thing to get our own house in order.

But that's just me.

Because you're right, it makes no sense to feed some kid in ethiopia when we have millions starving right here.

I think the line was drawn in the sand when we lost our true standing as a super power. Sure, people kiss our ass and talk about america being the richest country on earth. My big, fat, white, ass it is. Apple has more money in throw away fundage than the United States Government has.
It's not that I think we should let a kid in ethiopia starve. We should not. But we can't continue to put everyone's fires out. There is more than enough money, food, and resources to care for all 700 billion people on the planet. But due to power struggles of the greedy...we will never see that happen. But that's a different argument that I don't want to have. It's pointless.

Well the way that I see it I think she had a hard time when she went back to school. She mentioned in the initial video that her school was 60% black... I'm sure she is having a difficult time to say the least.

That's not what he's implying. Everyone, regardless of how ignorant the person is, has the right to speak their mind. However, that doesn't excuse them. They are liable for their actions and consequences will ensue.

And secondly, First Amendment rights only protects free speech from the government.

 

Free speech ain't free. You gotta ask yourself are you prepared to accept what follows after you exercise your" freedom"

 

I don't condone their actions, but if that person's stupid enough to rant and rave because they are careless of their actions, then they deserve it. Again, the 1st Amendment is meant to protect the individual from censorship from the government. That's one thing the libertarian or free speech advocates often ignore or fail to realize.

Again, you're not forced to not saying anything. But prepare for the consequences for your stupidity.
