Stephen "Twitch" Boss and Allison Holker is engaged. Gorgeous blonde Allison and Twitch has been dating for 2 years. She already has a child from another guy. Twitch has it going on!
I saw the love between those two. It was an amazingly beautiful thing to see. Allison Holker's eyes said it all. I believe that these two will have a very loving and very strong marriage. May their union be forever blessed.
I don't know who they are, either. But I wish them well. I guess one of them is on the show So You Think You Can Dance. Still, it was a beautiful proposal.
Exactly. Kind of crazy what some consider news worthy. Honestly, a black man getting engaged to a white woman shouldn't be "news"...just like a black man getting engaged to a black woman wouldn't be "news". This just perpetuates the belief that we're somehow different because our love is interracial. Shouldn't be that way. I would imagine most people in interracial relationships want to be viewed as no different than same-race couples. I wish more people could simply be happy in seeing a couple in love, not finding happiness solely in the fact that a bm wifed up a ww. I've seen that kind of thinking in threads like this (not saying this particular thread) and it makes interracial relationships look more like a fashion statement. Maybe my way of thinking is off, but the way most of these IR engagements are portrayed on this site irks me.
I'm sure by now you've realized that there are some folks here that based on what they choose to post they have a particular view of WW/BM relationships, and not necessarily a positive & productive one.
Yes sir. Nine times out of ten I let it roll, but every once in a while I can't help but express my displeasure with those views
Perfectly normal. Trust me I bite my tongue on a whole lot of the WTF stuff that gets posted here. I catch heat from people for speaking about the certain crap I do bother to point out one way or another. I'm not interested in the ongoing drama & conflict that comes with constant pointing out the head scratching behavior of others. I chalk it up to it being the Internet and leave it at that.
Yeah, great engagement news story, just the wrong part of the 'In the News' section. Beautiful comments, Gorath! :smt023 ALWAYS SO HAPPY to read/see such loving IR engagements, ESPECIALLY since IR divorces get such negative light. We have a long way to go. I say POST MORE highlighting this beautiful union! :smt038
Twitch was on SYTYCD and while he was not a fabulous dancer he was good, his personality made him so lovable and he was absolutely entertaining. He was one of my all-time favorites and a crowd favorite as well.
Why does this website exist if IR relationships are nothing special?? I love to see IR unions publicized because it means barriers are coming down and the more IR relationships we see, the more acceptable they will be to society at large.
No one said they IR relationships weren't special. Some of us just get tired of them being treat like some mutant aberration rather than it just being normal like any other relationship. Our relationships shouldn't be looked at as "being more acceptable to society" they should already be viewed as acceptable. Just my two, though.
