I remember that indie film with julia roberts now it was called full frontal http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0290212/ He didn't kiss her in it. It was kind of more like a racist film because leading up to the "kiss" they were talking to each other about how hollywood don't let the black guy kiss the mainstream white actresses in films and about how that should change and just as they were about to kiss they turned to the camera and smiled. His character was also in an affair with Catherine Keener but they blurred the sex scenes and shot it behind some kind of glass door. I think that was a big mistake by blair underwood right there he obviously was clueless and let Steven Soderbergh play him. But he got back on track with love scenes with white mainstream actreess in t.v. You should checked that movie, to see what Im talking about it was almost as like they were saying to those who know how hollywood is..."We can get away wiht anything we want to...we run this shit....it will never ever happen..ha ha".
I saw Full Frontal and it sucked in my opinion. He was kissing someone else but it was mostly blurred.
Y'all need to look more closely or get HD TV! In the "Industry" there is a such a thing called a "Stage Kiss". This means they don't actually kiss on the lips. They kiss above or below or on the side of each others lips. They make it look real though. Feeling up each others bodies are real though. They also have something called the "Dry Kiss" where open mouthed lips do actually touch for a second. The last "Dry Kiss" between a white actress and a blackman in the movies was with the old black NYPD star captain and Mel Harris ( 30 something star). The last actual kiss (Lips on lips) was between Stella Stevens and Jim Brown. Tape any WW/BM kiss now a days play it frame by frame and it'll show that I'm right. That includes Blair Underwood and Nea! Thanx.
Try the ONLY black actress on the show. And it's not the aforementioned actress who was on Alias. Merrin Dungey did play the role of Dr. Feelgood's wife in the pilot for Private Practice, but she was replaced before the series began in the fall.
Anyone see Dirty Sexy Money last night (Dec 5th)? I missed some of it. I guess Blair's character said something to Natalie Zea that ended their relationship? Details, anyone?
 Well it figures that it would only go so far but he does have OLD CHRISTINE on CBS to look forward to next year.
Seriously, guys, you aren't paying attention to the storylines and scenes of these shows and passing along wrong info. The ep of DSM went down in a different way then how its described here.
Yes I saw the last scene where the woman was talking to her father and he asked her if she was attracted with the brother. It is a plan to bring the homeboy down.
I'll make this as brief as I can. The lead guy Nick has a history with this woman (Karen) that Blair's character (Simon) is sleeping with. Although he fends off her advances repeatedly and is married Nick looks visibily upset that Simon is having an affair with Karen who is the oldest daughter of the Darling family. Nick is kind of playing both sides but he is mostly working for the Darlings and he knows that Simon is a rival with the patriarch of the family. He tells Simon to break up with Karen and leave her alone. When Simon suggests that jealousy may be part of Nick's request Nick says he is only lookin out for the family he counsels and that Simon is wrong to use Karen in his plan. He tells Simon that he will hand over secret financial information about the Darlings that he is looking for only if Simon stops seeing Karen. Simon (unconvincingly) says he will agree to stop seeing her in exchange for the info. Nick is happy with this answer from Simon and hands over the documents. You know though that Simon isn't going to stop and soon that may put him in conflict with Nick who does have feelings for this woman. The only question is does Simon have feelings for her too or is he simply using her. In the next scene a weary looking Karen comes strolling into her dad's office (the patriarch). He talks about how their plan is going along well. It turns out that he knew that Simon would come on to her and the revelation is that he told her to get involved with Simon awhile ago in order to gain more info on his plans. In other words the dad is essentially pimping his daughter. But he is worried. He thinks she may be getting emotionally involved which is something he had stressed to her to not do. Karen (unconvincingly) tells her father that he has nothing to worry about. The truth is though that the father indeed has something to worry about and I'm sure it will keep playing out in future episodes (I think because of the writers' strike this may be the final episode for awhile). This storyline though isn't over by a long shot.
Great info. So you saw this episode in its entirety? What was said at the dinner table where Simon and Karen meet for dinner and there's a 3rd woman at the table. Simon's ex-? What was said at the table that made Karen so distressed and caused her to come home early to the Nutcracker show at their house?
I had forgotten about Old Christine. I wonder what they will do with that. I was so sad when Cynthia Nixon's character in Sex and the City got back with her child's father and not him
How many peeps were waiting for Denzel to give Julia Roberts a go, in the movie "The Pelican Brief?" I know I was....but if I recall correctly, they didn't sleep together....even tho she was so vulnerable..and he was such a strong character... So male actors (black) also simply refuse to have on-screen relations with white women. There was a big thing about Eric LaSalle and the possibilities of him having relationships with white women on the scene of "ER," but he turned them down. Something along the lines of not upsetting black women or something. Whatever, lol.
Some Black actors are chicken while some are not. Samuel L. Jackson made up from The Long Kiss Goodnight to good flicks like The Caveman's Valentine and In My Country where he got some lovin with WW.
