no doubt. he goes around saying he is a self made billionaire but he just picked up where his dad left off. Im not saying Im not impressed by his success but dude really...you filed for bankruptsy 4 times like many others (there is no shame in that) but dont come off like you had no failures and you are better than others
Indeed. But that's a major problem: filed for bankruptcy at any cost makes you a less effective financially responsible person. You're better off having Michael Bloomberg, George Soros, or Warren Buffet as your financial saviors.
exactly. dave ramsey filed bankruptcy twice and he is giving sound financial advice but he is not arrogant like trump. I respect ramsey way more than trump. trump always throws the equation that since he is richer then he is smarter and more qualified....I hate to tell him but money doesnt get your respect
I would give some sway to those who are less arrogant but had financial problems with their businesses. If they can learn from their mistakes and actually do better and the results (consulting or otherwise) show through their decision making, then we can give them some credibility.
“I have friends who have smart sons with great marks, great boards, great everything and they can’t get into Harvard,” Trump said. “We don’t know a thing about this guy. There are a lot of questions that are unanswered about our president.” Donald Trump in the article excerpt. I guess it is now affirmative action. He might as well spell each word out, and without coded messages to the troop of racists he is nurturing with vengeful anger. At this stage, and how far he is going, he is no different from the Islamic clerics that nurture hate and create environment for terrorist activities. This a dangerous trip he has undertaken.
And yet he overlooked Bush being a C student and unlike other C student Presidents or Presidential hopefuls, Bush's knowledge from a limited scope shines throughout his presidency. And plus, if I remember correctly, Obama was a B+ student in his college years.
So im just asking do y'all ever think you will make half of what trump has made in your life time?. I understand he is arrogant but to say he is a horrible businessman beats me if he is that horrible how come he is still rich? He should be out of money by now or am i missing something.
And Bush only got into an Ivy league University because of his legacy admission, not to mention his drug and boozing that was documented as well.
As usual, you are missing a lot. He started with his Dad's money. Based on his poor business dealings on several occasions he would be out of money, but for the multiple bankruptcies. Any other questions...
You are missing something...read about his failed business ventures. You want someone that demonstrates that they can be fiscally smart. Hence why I look to people like George Soros, Michael Bloomberg, and Warren Buffett who know how to maintain strong business decisions. Furtheremore, if someone like former President Clinton, who didn't come from money or wealth, know more about building the economy and create a surplus and did it within eight years, then that tells you something right there. Not to mention he was incarcerated too.
So there is NO ONE who started with his Dad's money and because of his poor business dealing lost all and lived on the street or like a pauper in America huh riiight smh you are some piece of work. So i am asking again are there buffers in the system whereby despite his numerous failings he he still has that much money?I mean in some parts of the world if you fail spectacularly on so many occasions you lose everything so definitely must be doing something right. I am just saying this blanket wave of hand and saying he is a horrible businessman cannot be totally true.
He is a horrible businessman. Read my text again and notice how the ones I've named actually perform better than him and are worth much more and that's all in part of their smart business decisions. Trump jumped onto the Reality TV bandwagon to save his own ass from undergoing another bankruptcy.
Well, the problem is that your first question didn't make any sense. What does whether any of us making half the money of Trump have to do with anything? That's just another example of your pulling something crazy out of the air. It would have been more appropriate to ask, Do you think that any of you guys would be as rich as Trump, IF you starting with the same fortune, and business that his father left him. I have no idea if someone has inherited what Trump did, and ended up on the streets, homeless. But, rather than make a bare assumption that this might be true in some case, why don't you cite something specific to support that contention. Now, to answer the question that you asked BBW, the answer is that the buffers are that people typically refuse to invest with you if you fail. If you have poor credit you typically can't get a bank to loan you money. If you are a small business person and fail, banks and other investors assume that you don't have the ability to run a business and won't invest with you. However, when you have the right pedigreed and connections, there is always someone, for a price, that's willing to gamble, on the hopes of a big return, that you might eventually get it right, with the aid of bankruptcy and your connections. Again, next question...
The question was meant for wise not you so stop being presumptuous if i wanted to ask you i would have done that , it doesn't take much brain racking to realize that does it?
To be fair, he DID answer the question you were seeking. Plus, swirlman specializes in politics since that's his occupation. So, when it comes to being an authority on political matters, swirlman is more likely to respond with a more concrete response. After all, you were addressing this matter to the both of us and more so this is a varied discussion. But the point still stands, Trump won't make an effective president when it comes to economic policies. And if someone like Bill Clinton managed to create a surplus and didn't specialize in business, it shows that credentials from Trump really wouldn't hold much of a candle.
