http://act.colorofchange.org/sign/chisolm/ That's a stupid and defeatist attitude to have. I have been posting this petition since last night and messaging everyone I know to sign it. Guess who started that petition? Black people who didn't feel powerless to change the status quo!! What have you been doing with your time? Sign the damn thing and stop whining!!! It's right there! ^^^ Send a message!!
I signed it, but it doesn't change the point I made. The country's judicial system inherently favors whites over minorities. That doesn't make me a defeatist, that states a fact.
We are powerless to do anything to change it. ^^ THAT ^^ makes you DEFEATIST. THAT was your point. There is no "point" in stating that the country's judicial system favors whites. It's been like that for centuries - a remnant of the old regime wants it to stay that way (the ones who profit - the elite in government, for example, AND the inbred idiots who are too dumb to know any that we all deserve to be treated equally). Never mind, they are all the same. All inbred idiots. MY point is there are plenty of good and well-meaning white people who are trying to change things too. Some do it well, some not so well, but you are not alone in this fight for fair treatment in the justice system.
It's not like those people care about our opinion though. They don't give a damn about what we're saying. Americans are self-centered and only care about themselves.
Who are "those people" and who are "we"????? And who are these Americans you are talking about if not we??? Unless you are speaking from a black-centric and/or foreign-centric perspective, in which case, you suffer from the same disease "they" do. If I said "they", "those people" or "we", you'd be jumping my shit til Bessie and all her fat friends came waddling home.
I'm talking about the people on the board of Pardons and Paroles. They have judicial power and authority, we don't.
Well, you still have no idea how much impact that petition will have - there are a lot of infuential people involved. At some level, people have to be elected, and those who are elected can hire and fire. This raises the profile of such a case and people will NOT forget. The pressure is put upon them and puts them in the spotlight. Payback is a bitch, and they know it. I still think the comment about Americans was uncalled for and unrelated to this case. The number of people who are passionate about saving the life of Troy Davis (who are both black AND white), should tell you that there are some great Americans among us! A lot of caring people. You really amazing me with the things you say sometimes, Mikey. Do you have a mother?
Yo moma's pink pussy should be redeemed in after life also bitch... ya fucking white troll.:smt068I will fantasize breaking your neck tonight hmmm
There is always the Governor who can grant a pardon as well. Yet, no one dared to think about that. Unfortunately, I have little confidence that Gov. Deal would even consider granting clemency for Davis.
can we step back for a minute here and relax. 1. the world is not out to get you because you are black. davis has had numerous appeals and chances to have his case heard. 2. if your playing the race angle, 2 of the georgia board of parole members are black. that same board had to come to agreement to put the death warrant on davis. 3. the DA, who can prevent this from happening is black as well. so you have numerous blacks in positions of power who have led davis along to his eventual death. quit with the race card 24/7. its a debilitating mental block that just isn't legit anymore. 4. governor doesnt have the ability to grant clemency in the state of georgia. in the end its up to the supreme court or this DA. i simply refuse that troy davis is being executed because he is black, which seems to be the consensus here. that's racialist thing, which i have no time or interest in. got more things to worry about then race 24/7. get the block out of your head.
Finally some fucking sense...yet the moment we don't throw race into ANYTHING, is the day that we, as African Americans, have to take responsibilty of all of our problems...it's not our fault that over 80% of our children grow up fatherless...its EVERYONE elses fault because they don't like us.
its not 80 percent, but over 70 percent of black babies are born out of wedlock. thats a whole other issue though.
Yes, I have one. I have a mother and a father. And no, I think it was called for and is related to the case. But we can just agree to disagree. I still believe that it is. Besides, the two BM on the parole board could be types of people that don't care about the well being of their own since all of them voted in favor of killing Davis. The ballistics tests show that Davis didn't shoot the guy. They are ignoring the elephant in the room. Also, they are going by the assumption that a witness made, and the person (who he claims was Davis) was 120 feet away from him and he states that he was 60% confident that it was him. There's still a large margin of error that they're ignoring. These are the people and here's some more information. http://www.pap.state.ga.us/opencms/export/sites/default/home/board_members.html
Why is Charles Mason still alive? America's justice system is screwed up! But they are also executing a white supremacist today for the 1998 dragging death of James Byrd, however the actually have evidence for this one.
Yeah, they actually have evidence. That execution is based on credibility and truth. This one is based on the fact that the state doesn't like minorities, as evidenced in this review from StudentsReview.com.
The death penalty was outlawed in the 1970's and his sentence was commuted to life in prison, as were the sentences of all on death row at that time. As death penalties were reinstituted, it was not legal to resentence people to death.
the troy davis case also has info that we the public haven't read, you also have to remember that. i simply refuse to accept the excuse that troy davis is being executed for being black. they have saved him 3 times already from death when they could've said no. supreme court could save him again tonight as well.
