A former Mets player has reportedly been shot dead by his girlfriend - who then turned the weapon on herself while their one-year-old son was at home.

The bodies of Darryl Hamilton, 50, and Monica Jordan, 44, were found at her house in Pearland, Texas at 4.45pm Sunday - Father's Day.

Hamilton, an MLB Network analyst and dad of three, was discovered next to the front door with several bullet wounds. Jordan apparently died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound in another part of the property.*

Police Lieutenant Onesimo Lopez told reporters: 'At this point it does not appear that there was any kind of struggle. The incident occurred just inside



The couple's 14-month-old son was found unharmed inside the house and was*taken into the care of Texas Child Protective Services.

The bodies have been*transferred to the Galveston County Medical Examiner while the deaths are investigated.

Officers told the Houston Chronicle*that they went to the house after getting a call about an argument inside it.

Meanwhile neighbors told Click2Houston that Jordan had called her ex-husband for help before the shooting started - and that he called 911.

But I still have doubts about the Steve McNair alleged murder/suicide.

 

And now their child gets to grow up alone, with the knowledge of what his mother did to his father. I understand people being overwhelmed by despair, but why don't they just take themselves out, rather than taking others with them?

In the McNair case, the alleged murderer/GF, Sahel Kazemi, was working as a hostess at Dave and Busters, and on her lunch break arranged to buy a car from an ex-con named Adrian Gilliam. Gilliam, formerly in prison for murder during a home invasion in Florida, told police that instead of purchasing the car, he sold her a 9mm. Completely random(and not believable IMO).

The murder weapon found in McNair's condo was traced to Gilliam and this was the story he told police.

Gilliam also started some kind of relationship with Kazemi after that initial encounter but she cut him off.
A day before the murder Gilliam called Kazemi like 49 times and even called her hours before the murder.

Gilliam's cell phone was pinged by MPD in the vicinity of McNair's condo prior to the murder.

But the MPD had their suspect in Kazemi, chalked it up to a romance gone bad and never really investigated the Gilliam connection.

He's in federal prison now for the illegal sale of a firearm and violation I believe of his parole.

The entire explanation about why a 9mm that belonged to Gilliam was found at the murder scene was given by Gilliam to police and IMO never really challenged.

I think Gilliam convinced himself he and Kazemi were an item, Gilliam followed Kazemi to McNair's condo to confront him and that's when the murders happened.

Lots of young women get involved with men who are either married or unattainable in terms of a longterm relationship.

But you rarely hear about young women ending a relationship in a murder/suicide.

Her friends gave the impression that Kazemi was not this crazy, obsessed chick either.

 

This hurt my heart when I heard about it. R.I.P.

Fascinating theory, Andreboba. Extremely plausible. The lazy detectives are damn lucky you're not some pre-law student using this as a case study for grades because you'd probably get to the bottom of the real story.

I remember grumblings that the wife might have set it up so she could get Steve's money, having gotten sick of his philandering, but who knows...maybe wifey had Gilliam do a hit job, if your theory didn't pan out.
But no way in hell did this hooters girl kill-
.well, you know, l take it back, l don't know, maybe a girl does do that ....Damn, quite a few possible angles to the story.

You may think McNair got what he had coming to him (if you believe he was murdered by his mistress), but to throw an e party online because the man was murdered is way worse than any affair.

I was posting online for almost a year on the Tennessean when McNair was murdered. It was so crazy, all the little details friends and acquaintances posted about the case.

At first people thought Sahel's(jenny) White BF Norfleet and 'aspiring' rapper killed McNair because of his cryptic posts.

Then you find out McNair was seeing another girl while he was messing around with Kazemi.

When you read McNair's autopsy report oline, it looks like an execution, not an emotionally distraught female firing randomly.
Whoever killed McNair appears to have shot him while he was dozing on the sofa in his condo, sitting up. The murderer shot him twice in the chest standing over him. Extremely cold-blooded for a young woman supposedly in love with McNair.
But what makes the murder IMO look suspicious is the killer then shot McNair once in his left temple, walked to the other side of the couch and shot him again in the right side of his head.

That's not a normal scorned lover murder. That was a calculated execution.
The first thing I thought of were the lyrics from DMX's Ruff Ryder's track;

Also I was wrong about one detail. Kazemi tried to sell her KIA to GIlliam in the parking lot of Dave and Buster's. Gilliam wasn't trying to sell a car to Kazemi.

But instead of selling her KIA, Gilliam claims she bought a 9 mm from him instead for $100. Huh??

I don't know about single shot to the head suicides, but a downward trajectory for the shot seems hard to do, if not impossible. Kazemi's gunshot to the head was a clear downward trajectory like someone was standing over her.
The more you read about this case, how she was right handed but gunshot residue was found on her left hand, how the gun was found underneath her body, how she and McNair had spent most of the evening together and she drove both of them to his condo that night...but was still enraged enough to murder him hours later. It doesn't add up.

 

If an online party was thrown, that's disgusting and would validate a lot of what people here have said about some elements in the online community.

 

He need to show me that one.

 

McNair was shot twice in the chest and each temple? That's overkill. That's personal.
