Tracy Morgan returning to "Scare Tactics"

LOS ANGELES (Hollywood Reporter) - Syfy is expanding its reality slate with new shows, a new night and the return of Tracy Morgan to the sci-fi cable network.

The "30 Rock" star will host the fourth season of prank series "Scare Tactics," which will premiere on the fall. Morgan will also gain an executive producer credit.

"We're ecstatic to be bringing back 'Scare Tactics' for another season to all our die-hard Syfy reality fans," said Mark Stern, executive vp of programing, Syfy. "Tracy has his finger on the pulse when it comes to comedy and having him on board as executive producer just adds another layer to the huge success of our show."

Syfy has ordered a pair of new hour-long series: "Paranormal Investigators," about a team that travels the world attempting to uncover the truth behind supernatural claims; and "Mary Knows Best," a docusoap about a Long Island psychic.

The duo will populate a new reality block for the network on Thursday nights, starting July 15. Another new show, "Beast Legends," bringing legendary creatures to life with computer graphics, will join the block at a later time, and Syfy has also ordered a fourth season of "Destination Truth."

Tracy Morgan doing Sci-Fi?

I would've never guessed.

The show is not sci-fi, it is more like reality-based.

 

He is in demand and he got two more movies coming out soon.

 

interesting.. hopefully he'll maintain his main job at 30 rock, though..

 

I watched scare tactics - its pretty cruel... I fel bad laughing at the poor victims.

It's freaking hilarious! I know the first thing to do if I'm ever abducted by Aliens is to accuse them of putting me on Scare Tactics. Hopefully it won't end with some sort of experimental probe being shoved into places it doesn't belong.

 

I have not, but the trailer looks funny, I really wanna see it. I am a Tracy Morgan fan!

I do agree, some of the stuff is so freaking outlandish I wonder why people fall for it. But if monsters starts creeping out of closets in a restaurant kitchen or a cursed samurai sword starts killing people, maybe I would freak out too!! LOL
