Of course it's not IR! Even when the media first did a bio on him and mentioned his ancestral line from Mexico to Wisconsin, nobody made a big deal about it. This is America. IR means black versus everybody else.

 

Also, you can be Hispanic/Latino and still whiite. Hispanic is not a race. Besides some Mexicans, usually the ones who were in the middle to upper class, were of mostly Spanish (as in Spain) ancestry.

By the way I think Jess' sister, Ashley, also had a Hispanic boyfriend who looked just like any other white guy in a punk band.
