She's hot and light skin. If the black community doesn't fuck with her it's because she's wack period the end

I mostly agree with this although we can't discount that dark skinned black women have opened up another front of their ever expanding twitter war by increasingly attacking light skinned black women.

All I can say is so what. I doubt that many are really hating on light skin women enough to alter what other people like, plain and simple we adore light skin people in the black community a few haters won't alter that.

I know they exist but if they had any real power like black women overall we'd see more media with dark skin women like we see with lighter skin women representing all black women.

Not arguing what the black community may or may not like. The point is the decision isn't really being made by them (us). White Hollywood is more likely to set things in motion with its preference for lighter skin black women. Those are the ladies that get the most work, at least so far as playing women who are desired, and that allows them to attain a certain status and encourages them to not leave the business. It means more of them are in the pipeline for major roles as leads and love interests. This is the opposite for darker skin black actresses who have a more tougher road, are more often than not overlooked for the parts of girlfriend, temptress, vixen, etc and are often frustrated with their limited opportunities in the business. Back in earlier decades of the 20th century the light skin black woman was referred to in art as the tragic mulatto. The term really no longer applies but the look of that archetype, so far as black women are concerned, still reigns supreme in both the mainstream community and likely in the black community. How much of that is the fault of the media and how much is it the fault of more naturally instinctive preferences is up for debate.

Anyway its more than just a "few haters" out there. The number of darkskinned black women being more vocal about light skin black women being overrepresented appears to be growing from what I can tell. I'm constantly running across black people on social media who go as far as claim light skin chicks aren't really black. I have seen a couple of pieces written by light skin black women who pretty much apologize for their "privilege" to darker black women.

Yep we just had a controversy this past week because of what Rapper Azalea Banks said about Cardi B:

This low level conversation for low level thinkers
She's complaining about done up girls with fake body parts taking over but that's been like that since Kim and Foxy were in the game. They did well because they were the first ones to be fucking feminine. Why would anyone flock to women who sound like dudes and are written for by dudes. Not to mention most female rappers can only sell sex appeal most of them have weak bars.
I also love how it's on black men to make them hot in the industry. Apparently no one wants to work for shit anymore
