Marriage is a business deal. War of the Roses and Mr. & Mrs. Smith are just not comedy! As for Tiger, at best she will get 10-20%. Nothing more, look in the history books and you will see that when the game is played at the level no woman walks away with 50% or more. Tiger is not even losing sleep over this...
Well, we saw what happened to Paul McCartney and Heather Mills... Anyhow, giving her 20% would be completely fair, imo. I'm sure, she and the kids will have plenty of money to spend for generations to come. Luxury this, vacation that, etc. Something tells me he's not getting married for a long time, if ever, again.
I agree with you, but then I might want to allot for some pain and suffering (along the lines of public humiliation). I'm not down with the woman gets half stuff. If this wasn't allowed, more men would want to get married. These divorces don't work in the mans favor. Now there could be child support payments that could equal what they'd be getting under his roof, but that's about the kids, not about a wife. Think Kelis....
I think there a lot of women who are getting half and are not deserving of it. I'm not talking about the ones who are left in dire straits or anything of that nature, I'm referring more to these celebrities.
"Deserves"? THEM?!? M8, those sonsofbitches got MORE MONEY THAN GOD! OpinionsCartoonStudios@Yahoo.Co.UK
That's insane, she was a nanny before she met him. I don't remember her hitting one shot, sinking one put, or filming one commercial. I hope his pre-nupt is iron clad....
I know you will jump my ass but she has contributed to his image. Which golfer's image is better after screwing up??
Not sure I am following your point here Jordan, first, John Daly has a long history of multiple serious transgressions, both marital (cheating) and legal as far as we know this is Tigers first serious problem. Tiger did a lot of wholesome, family oriented things (building learning centers, conducting free clinics, ect) before he was married. I sincerely doubt that getting married brought Tiger any more endorsements than he would have got on his own. He had companies competing left and right to have him endorse their products since his rookie year, and once he starts winning again like Andrae said, they will line up again. Even the Buick endorsement really had nothing to do with being "family friendly", Buick at the time was the biggest sponsor on the PGA tour, they wanted the biggest star player to endorse their products, and the PGA tour lobbied Tiger hard to take that endorsement.
Winning is one part. If Elin walked out at the onset, Tiger's image wouldn't have been salvaged to the point it is. Kobe's wife stuck by him. These things play in the minds of people and they think well if she can forgive him/stick by him we should keep an open mind.
