Even with half I bet it is more money than his kids kids will spend in their lifetime.

She didn't earn any of it. I know he messed up but the penalty shouldn't be half of what he worked his whole life for. But I'm sure there's a prenup. Too many people count on him for there not to be.

Spoken like a true gent, unfortunately for him that attitude won't work in his divorce, I hope she has a great solicitor and that he wrings every penny from that mans bank balance as he legally can, the mental trauma of the press for her as a non wrongdoer should be worth a mint on its own. lol

 

Plus the money will mainly be for his CHILDREN so he shouldn't grudge it anyway. She needs to be able to give them the lifestyle that they'll have with him.

 

How about for having bore him two beautiful children. I'd say she at least deserves half. If she gets more, though unlikely, she deserves every penny of it. Plus, she was very much part of the image he was selling, therefore, generating him more money. Dude messed up, supremely.

 

Most states allow for 1/2 of the assets earned while married unless there is a prenup. He is a busniess man I am sure if he wanted to protect himself he would have put all the proper protections in place. Was he hiring a whore or marrying a woman he loved??

You seem very business like in your love Andrae. Many times I wonder from what you say if you are going to hire a wife or fall in love and have all the trappings that go with it. What kind of marriage do your parents have.......just curious. Those things shape our thoughts and views on love.

I agree with you tirkah. She many times was on display at the tournaments and his handlers played her/their marriage in his image. I do think she has been a class act in this whole debacle..........keeping her mouth shut, staying out of public but for the times you see her out attending to her kids and taking them to the activities little ones get into.

 

Seriously? Fine then based on your logic she deserves half of what he made after they got married not before. As for the kids thing it can be argued that she gained to beautiful kids and a lifestyle she would have never come close to achieving on her own. As far as the money being for the kids, a divorce settlement has nothing to do with child support two totally different things. I'm not saying she should walk away with nothing but more than half? You guys have lost your bloody minds.

I can see if SHE was resposible for his golf game or endorsement deals.

 

I am very business minded but I'm an accountant so my mind often works in terms of assets and liabilities so I try look at the fairness of things. My parents don't have the best marriage at all but that has nothing to do with how I see marriage. Marriage is a business deal a concept that was concieved long before any of us were here. I'm a big supporter of love as you can see by my Loving Day post but marriage often bastardizes the concept of love by making it a business arrangement.

 

You never hear SHIT like this when it's the other way around.
