You will do what I say when I say! BACK TO THE FRONT! You will die when I say you must die! Aww, Dex, are you trying to turn me into a headbanger again with a blast from the past? Check out Battery. Another great song from that album, and the guitar work is stunning, especially on the intro. Classical style guitar blended perfectly with mid-80s speed metal..truly a work of art, I tell ya. And the S+M version was fantastic, as well But to me, nothing really beats the amazing piece of work the S+M version of Call of Ktulu turned out to be. Both versions of the song are in my top ten instrumentals of all time. If you've not heard them both, I highly recommend you listen instantly. Le sigh, Metallica used to be so amazing.
As to your question, yes I am . The metal cannot under any circumstances be killed. It lives within you and I and the millions of metalheads in the world. I just finished working out and I was listening to both Ride the Lightning and Master of Puppets on my mp3 player. They're both killer albums, along with Kill 'Em All. There's not one song on any of those albums that doesn't kick major ass. They were at their absolute best in the 80s. As you said, they used to be amazing. It's just sad that they changed their sound. And yeah, the S&M versions are fuckin awesome! I'm listening to them now
