Wikipedia is full of bs the above video gives more accurate information of the events of that day June 8th 1967 where 34 American navy officers lost their lives and 171 got wounded, but if you read Wikipedia page of the incident you'll realize that whoever wrote that stupid page is going out of his/her way to portray the incident as mistake, how could that be when Israelis deliberately jammed the communication of the ship ? They went as far as violating international maritime laws because while USS Liberty was under attack crew could not send a distress signal. What is even more shocking to me than the attack is when Johnson administration wanted to sink the whole ship this was in order to hide what happened from the American media.... Can you believe that ??? What would they do to the survivors had they opted for sinking ? that is what I really want to know maybe I would ask survivors themslves to imagine what would have happened to them because there are rumors American GIs were left behind in vietnam.

If the usa had to make payouts to the families of friendly fire, we'd be dead broke and naked

    Shit happens
