I'd say he's smart with his purchase. After all, that extra money could be put to something else.

Pretty much.....if 190k is all mine, I'd get the ford and let the rest sit in the bank

True. Which would be your own retirement money.

He needs to get either a Toyota or a Nissan. Those motherfuckers run forever. My '96 Corolla ran for 13 years until it threw a rod. If not for that it would probably still be running.

Toyota and Honda are the most reliable. Its not unusual for a Honda to take 400,000 miles when they are well maintained.

Soon we'll have cars that last decades with little maintance not just a few years.

Hope he buys himself a nice little place to live in

    Somewhere closer to work obviously

That's insane tho...the most I ever walked for work was an 8-9 mile bus line, and that was when we got hit with a nasty blizzard that shut down the city/public transit

Unfortunately everything was shut down AFTER I made it in to work, so I had to make the hike home in the snow :smt103

Its bullshit but instead of letting u stay home when there's a chance the city is going to be fucked, ur obligated to go work

Then while ur at work the city says 'We told u this would be bad and we are officially shutting everything down'

Then ur like why wouldn't my job let me stay home in the first place :smt103

Probably something like that lol. My car knowledge is minimal. The hole in my engine block was not minimal.

I'd ask u how that happen but I wouldn't want any dealers showing up at my crib

Damn. Yeah if you have a problem with the block you may as well swap the engine or can the car, but its still not as bad as having a transmission problem.

Lol it was just my dumb ass not keeping up on my fluids. I was still in school at the time so I didn't pay it as much attention as I should.

Oh, that was the end of that car. Once that happened, it was on to the next one.

The rod is what join the piston and the crank.

The rod on the left is bent. Yours actually broke causing a piece to blow through the engine block.
