More examples of the gap widening to Grand Canyon size between the "haves" and the "have nots":

    This is scary as hell.

The United States is slowly dying. Our young people who are critical for it's future survival are at a point in which they cannot compete globally. The schools would rather teach how to put a condom on a cucumber than teaching calculus. We are like the Roman Empire.

    LOL! It's true though.

I read or heard somewhere that democracies, as a rule, only last for about 200-300 years? I'm too stressed to go look it up. LOL.

In either case, we can't remain the dominant force forever. Every great nation has fallen. Maybe we're witnessing the U.S. in the waning years of its existence as we know it. Who knows? :smt102

People have been sounding the alarm for over 25 years but nobody cared until white, suburban, mainstream America started hurting.

The world's oldest continuous democracy is Iceland, it has had a legislative assembly since 930 AD. The second oldest continuous democracy is Switzerland having a democratic system in place since the year 1291.

Iceland and Switzerland have the oldest continuous democracies up to now.
