I've played a lot of video games in my life, especially those from the horror genre. From B-movie style action horror games like the Resident Evil series to the more psychological horror and thriller genres of the Silent Hill games and Eternal Darkness: Sanity's Requiem alike, none of which really had me jumping or scared shitless. Sure, there are other franchises like the Fatal Frame games and Obscure series and the Forbidden Siren games, but none of them really had me running with fear. To me, they are not all that scary and horror games can't do me in. That is...until I've stumbled across... The Slender Game It's largely based on the mythology of this fabricated entity, all of which belong to the cryptology for the weird and unknown. When you download the game, this will be simple experience. The goal is to find eight letters strewn across this forest like area. There are no enemies, other than the Slender Man and your job is to find them all before you're caught. You have a flashlight at your disposal, but nothing else. The sight distance is pretty dark, so you need to rely on your wits. So, go ahead, download the game and enjoy. This really surprised me. It's not perfect...for it's only a beta tested version, but it's worth playing to see if you don't really get scared.
