Mother plans federal lawsuit over son's death in police shooting

The mother of a man killed in a Manteca police shooting says she wants justice for her son who “did not deserve to die.”

RoseMary Duenez spoke with KCRA 3 News at her home in Lathrop Thursday night about a newly released video showing the police shooting of Ernesto Duenez, 35, in June 2011.

Duenez said she strongly disagrees with the San Joaquin District Attorney’s office which concluded this week that the shooting was justified.

Well you know that non-white men are so inherently threatening that we require a military assault-scale response for even the slightest infraction.

The man was wanted for domestic violence. If the Cop thought he was on his way to the OK Corral why would he have showed up alone in the first place? This police Oifficer should be prosecuted in the court of law, pure and simple.
