    perfect. can't say i've gone the melbec route before as i normally go for the merlot or pinot, but i'm willing to try anything

    Drats! I saw a recipe for butternut squash gratin & I got all excited 'coz I bought one at market & need to use it, but I'm missing 3 ingredients. Don't feel like a trip to the grocery store. :(

    Yup. Tonight will be string beans, ham & potatoes, and making some kind of (what else?) soup for lunches this week!

    I am making a farro pilaf at the moment. have never made it before so I hope it is yummy

    Well right now I am simmering the farro with a carrot, celery and an onion. Those come out once the farro is cooked

    Then all kinds of good stuff goes into it like kale, toasted pine nuts, dried cranberries hot pepper flakes.

    It sounds good.....I hope it tastes good :heart:

    FYI Goodlove......it was VERY tasty. The toasted pine nuts added a nice zing!

    MY meatloaf

    I get turkey meat

    eggs. and mush it in with the turkey
    crumbled toasted bread
    barbeque sauce and mix it in

    then bake . Its been a while since I cooked BUT its like riding a bike. IM sure Im forgetting something but my ex loved my loaf

    Tofu Veggie Soup

    Just made a soup that V2C mght like (except for the broth, but you could use veggie broth).

    Sauteed some sugar peas in oil with garlic & sesame seeds, then threw in some cubed tofu. Added some frozen asian veggies & spinach and 2 cans chicken broth. Voila! Soup!

    Oh Yum! I would like that. I would do the saute in sesame oil as well to punch it up a bit!
