    Honey roasted parsnips I can understand but how can anyone contaminate maple syrup (syrup of the gods) with antichrist carrots :smt096 is beyond me

    They're just - evil. Along with beets. Beets are also evil.

    I agree with the beets being evil. Blah. Except in the preparation of red beet eggs.

    I think the kale throws me more than the beets. I can't wrap my brain around drinking greens.

    sounds amazing...!!!! i'm on such a curly kale kick at the moment. i'm stunned that anyone could not like carrots, kale & beets. are we speaking about beetroot...???

    Beets...those disgusting maroon colored vegetables usually served cooked in slices, or pickled, that leak pink juice all over the place - it winds up touching other food and ruining that too.

    Yes, we are. Over in these here parts we just call them beets! I know you weirdos call it beetroot!

    And I LOVE ME SOME BEETROOT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    I think I am going to roast some tonight for dinner and I am also craving some brussel sprouts! I have a new recipe for the sprouts with gremolita on them! Yummo!

    i love beetroots. sliced in sandwiches, roasted whole in the oven, made into a dip...even had curried beetroot about a month ago from an indian restaurant

    lol...i was just responding to pixie about roasting beetroot...!!!! yummo...!!! i've done an amazing roasted beetroot dip before with roasted garlic.

    i actually had some brussel sprouts for dinner tonight myself.

    Oy. Brussel sprouts. Now there's a vegetable to hate. The first time I made them as a newlywed (at my husband's request), he came out in the kitchen and said "Did you sh*t your pants?" "No, dear, that's your dinner!"

    lol the poor brussel gets a hard time and a bad rep. they're delicious if cooked properly....just ask my 7 & 8 year old children

    Well you cooked them too long! Just steam them lightly until they turn nice and green. That all!

    We are food twins!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I am missing Thaksgiving Dinner with my family today so I must make myself something yummy. I think roasted veggies, brussel sprouts, smashed potatoes with mushroom gravy would be lovely!

    sounds divine...!!!! i so love smashed potatoes, roasted veggies, brussel sprouts & mushroom gravy...!!! in this house though, we must always have yorkshire pudding with it (it's that bloody english heritage thing in us)...!!! i'll bring the wine. red okay...???
