No but I'm watching the highlights and commentary on CNN international right now. Looks like MU opened up a can of whoop ass.

Winning by 2 goals in soccer is almost like a blowout it seems.

Who's next? Barcelona vs Chelsea, right?

    MY team!

SWEDEN for international - (Manchester otherwise) Of course!!
I follow football as much as I can - I Love following Italy for pure entertainment. The Dutch team is usually also entretaining but on in a much differnet way)

A few years ago - we lost to Cameroon in footlball and to Belarus in ice-hockey in the same year - I was ready to turn my Swedish Citizenship in!!!!!

On the other hand, if I didnt like Icehockey and Football, they would probably revoke it anyhow:)
We even make no1 chart songs about our football players (Zlatan case in point:-D)

    A MUST SEE!!!

It was made a few years ago when Italy was crying about the Danish and the Swedish team was collaborating to get Italy out...

2 things come to mind - Like Denmark OR Sweden for that matter would take a dive to the other country ( we enemies!!!!!)
besides, I dont think one can ON PURPOSE edit: hit darn it, HIT:) ->the goal pole (sorry dont know the English word) like it went :smt042down...

Alright Russiawithlove, I must *grudgingly* admit that your Devils did in my Arsenal two straight games.:smt089 Arsenal looked a step slow from the opening whistle and just could not keep up. Oh well, good luck to Man U. in Rome

Gonna be three straight games soon, Loki! I've got a feeling that we're gonna win the premiership at emirates, unless ya'll really step your game up!
God, if we play like that against Man City at the weekend, we're going to tear them apart, hahaha!
Send you a postcard from Rome ;)

Follow, follow, follow! 'Cause in Rome we'll win two in a row!!

    HEY HEY HEY NOW :p
Russian national team is getting a lot better actually. Under Hiddik, they've improved so much and individual players are really starting to shine. I'm gonna get to watch at least one qualifier when I'm studying there, very excitied :D

So folks, it looks like it's going to be a Barcelona FC vs Manchester United final in Rome. Good rhythms! My team got pulverized last night so i dont have a dog in this fight, but i'd be rooting for Barca as they're the lesser of the two evils.

I'll be rooting for Barca as well as I am a huge Henry (my all-time favorite Gunner) fan, let's hope they can take down Man. U since my Arsenal was not up to the task, sorry Russiawithlove!

    Giggle:)
Yes, I must admit (although reluctantly) :) that The Russians are getting increasingly imressive..
Now you and I can start a thread about Bandy (??????? ??????)) and Curling - although I dont get Curning at all:smt101.
Now Bandy on the other hand - hats off to these guys - there is WAY less protection:)

Can of whip ass for sure. Worst game ever. Definately time to rebuild for the mighty Gunners. Man united are our main rivals in every competition, and it was definately men vs boys out there. Boys being the operative word. The Arsenal team are just too young and inexeperienced. While its good to build for the future, the 4 year barren spell without winning a trophy is getting painful. I hope Mr Wenger gets the cheque book out and buys big in the summer, especially to cover that shocking defence.:smt011

Hmmmm. Looks like I picked a problematic team to be my favorite. I will stick with them though.

A few centre backs would be preferable and maybe a decent defensive midfielder.

As much as this pains me, I have to congratulate Manchester United for a near faultless season. Fielding your reserve side against Hull city today and beating them shows you are worthy champions. I wish we could do that! As a gunner, this season is going to be forgotten, and I am instead going to pin my hopes on a succesfull 2009/10 season.:)

Yep. Although they weren't at their best, United mounted a good fight and did what they had to do. If only we had a manager who understood the need to buy experienced players .......

Here's hoping Barca beat United tomorrow in Rome!

I sure hope so too! Go Barca! Though FromRussiaWithLove will strongly disagree :)

I have a feeling tommorrow might well be a classic. Arguably two of the worlds best players on opposing sides(Ronaldo & Messi)and two attack minded teams. we may well be looking at a cricket score. Or is that just wishful thinking? I dont know. I think Man united will win it though, because of their superior defense, and a more experienced manager.
