No I missed the game, I have to admit that I thought Villas-Boas didn't deserve the sack but now I have to say I was wrong. Similar thing happened at Chelsea so who knows what Spurs will end up doing this season now.

As for the CL I don't see Barca doing it this year but I put Atletico down as dark horses if they can keep their form. PSG might spring a surprise this year too.

Atletico is is stellar form so far. Real is not enjoying their current 3rd place slot. I felt sorry for AVB but Pep is the only coach who has come anywhere near the Kruyff glory days.

In other news, Leeds defeat by fourth tier Rochdale was nothing short of a national tragedy. I still can't believe what I saw today.

Man u is gonna get raped in the quarterfinals. They are easily the weakest team left in the CL.

Lol the U.S. would draw the group of death. I know we just got that striker from Bayern to commit to the usmnt instead of germany. Hopefully he can shake things up for the US.

Don't start celebrating just yet, Appiah.

Man U is about to become Man Poo. Their defeat is imminent. As for the US Men's team, I'm still optimistic. This is the best men's side is decades. More international experience both professionally and for the national team than ever before.

Im a chelsea fan we drew psg. That should be an interesting tie. I go for the usnmt, but that shit is depressing. We dont win shit. The closest I've seen us come to winning something is the confederations cup last year (we blew that against brazil) and the 2002 world cup we lost to germany in the semi final.

Chelsea/PSG should be a great one. As for the USMNT, I remain optimistic. I expect a progressively better showing each time. I'm not saying Clint will be hoisting the cup, but I don't think they're going to get run out and sent home summarily.

It's a formidable grouping, I'll grant you that, but the USMNT have surpassed expectations in the last two years.

I don't think Spain are going to get it again. Brazil will be under intense pressure, but their top players have so little experience playing together. Maybe Germany, Italy or the Netherlands?

On paper its a pretty even match. Psg's form has been on point though. Clint fell off a bit. He went from playing next to Bale to playing next to scrubs. He should have stayed overseas. I get what you're saying though. We should have a better showing this time around.

    Preach, brother, preach! Lol

You're totally right about Clint. The USMNT's skills are improving precisely because many of the players are playing abroad. Why he gave that up is beyond me, unless they think the MLS is there already. Defoe had a great showing during his debut match, but I think they need another 3-5 years of EPL/Serie A/La Liga talent coming through on their way to retirement to put the play at that consistently high level.
