Will there be some IR on the new '90210'??? I think there will be. There's a bruh in the cast surrounded by white chicks. http://www.cwtv.com/shows/90210 The Kid Rasta 8)
this can only lead to three things.... 1) The kat will constantly be around scorching-hot white broads, but will never get any pus*y play; to remind the audience that good looking white girls, typically don't screw black guys (or so they think) 2) The kat will hook up with some banging cheerleader jawn, right before some shit pops off and he ends up dead (like that black kat from "Heroes") 3) The kat will screw all that white cooch and be a big pimp, admired by both black and white guys alike. The show will be scrubbed after 4 episodes and a new show called 19121 will air in it's place, minus the black guy. A black "huggy bear" type guy will come in on the season finale, as the stereotypical crack-dealer, who gets beat up by one of the main white stars.
Petty I go with the third option you put up. That brother is going to be the sexless trouble person of the group but they will have a Black girl pop up for him I am sure.
Nah I dont think so. This is network television so they're gonna cast a very light-skinned bi-racial girl for him to date. If they find a latina actress who does a better job then she'll be the one cast on the show. They try to do that so they can cover all of their bases with each participating demographic. Kinda reminds me of the character from "Not Another Teen Movie" where he was singing: "I'm only in this song because I'm a black guy". :smt042
In due time killa. Hollywood will be the first to make it mainstream, and network TV will follow suit. The biggest hurdle believe it or not will be the advertisers and whether they feel it's appropriate for their commercials. They'll be worried about their product and if consumers will bail on them or not. Maybe I'm just the eternal optimist, but I really see more IR dating happening within the next 5 years. IR relationships may be a big deal to all of us on this messageboard, but I honestly believe that a cultural phenomenon is on the horizon and it will soon become common-place to see an IR couple.
Nope, I think all of you are wrong on this one. CW is known for IR action so its a guarantee this show is going to have some in it. He's (Tristan aka Dixon Wilson) going to get some IR action w/ Jessica Stroup. The girl from 'This Christmas' who plays Columbus Short's girlfriend in the movie. In an interview w/ the actress she explains that her character, Silver, likes to be unique and go against the grain. Silver is the kind of girl who doesn't worry about living up to the high standards or expectations that 90210 has. She is somehwat a rebel. Trust me. Not to mention, he's going to get some serious IR attention and flirtation throughout the show. And this girl will play Dixon's sister.... This show is going to be very interesting.
he's surrounded by hot mommas I still don't like how Heroes banged the black guy, who had a child by the Ali Larter. Maybe he'll come back from the grave and have a bigger role in Season 3.
The show wasn't the same without him. Plus all the boring ass shit that dragged on and on and on in the beginning of the second season had me so annoyed I just stopped watching. Conversely, when the show started I acted like it was the best thing since sliced bread and was glued to my computer whenever nbc.com had the newest episodes uploaded, cause I'm a weirdo who never owns a tv. When the black guy died I was so sad. He was easily my second favorite character, preceded by the heroine addicted artist who could paint the future. If he comes back, I'll totally watch again. Otherwise...eh. I'll content myself with nip/tuck and youtube. As for the 90210 stuff...eh, I got nothing. *L*
Dude, enough about Heroes. If you dislike it so much, make a separate thread about it. Anyways...this new show is gonna create some serious buzz. I'm sure Noble is gonna check it out. :smt023 He doesn't miss a beat.
I really think this new show is going to fail, I wish no show bad luck but me supporting it is a tad different.
hm... will Tristan end up constantly getting the 'just a friend' treatment from white girls he's interested in.. will the storylines address the frustration from having to attend a predominately white high school where the girls in the aggregate 'don't go there'.. :?: ...I can remember the original 90210 eps dealt with race on odd occasions, with the results.. odd..
Check IGN.com I usually check that site for latest coverage with respect to video/computer gaming, however, they also cover comics, tv shows, movies, and all things hollywood. They have new stuff about Heroes, but I haven't checked it out because I don't want to see any spoilers. I like to learn things by actually watching the show and following the developments that way. Same goes for LOST. I like to stay in suspense for the entire season. I think Adrian Pasdar, the guy who plays the brother of the guy who has the powers of everyone else, is coming back for this season, after supposedly being assasinated at the end of season 2. IGN had a segment covering him for this next season, so that ruined that plot line for me.
Knowing Hollywood I won't hold my breath. You had to watch episode by episode. Me I will record one and if there is nonething happening I will erase it.
I'm definitely going to tune in. Heck, even if it is below my expectations, which I doubt, I wouldn't be dissapointed the least. At least they're making an attempt at it and not a ridiculous one.
More of you folks here are likley to watch this than you were Tristian's work on "The Wire" and frankly that's pretty sad right there. I don't expect much of anything from this show. The first version of it was garbage too.
