It wasn't a tough sell with Batman in Dark Knight. They could have easily went the traditional movie route of killing off the Joker like they did in the Tim Burton version, but they went the comic route with how he handled him. Of course they made up for it by killing off Harvey Dent/Two-Face however.
Death of a Pioneer - Hiroshi Yamauchi Dies [IN MEMORIAM - HIROSHI YAMAUCHI] He built an empire, which started off as a card-playing company, by transforming it into one of the most recognizable names in the video game industry. He died at the age of 85 this morning. Though his role as president can be considered a controversial one, he also managed to make the company relevant even during the time its rival, Sony, manage to take away the sales (and people) who grew up with Nintendo. He led the company until the early 2000s and handed it over to Satoru Iwata, whom has adopted more progressive ways to win back gamers, yet retain the traditional business acumen in the most Japanese sense. {PERSONAL TAKE} The last game I played where he served as Executive Producer was Eternal Darkness: Sanity's Requiem for the Nintendo GameCube. I never knew him personally, but his iron-clad reputation often times cause developers to shift away from Nintendo and venture into other territories, most notably the PlayStation brand. He's kept the company afloat, despite some controversial decisions (cartridges for N64 and 1.42GB disks for the Nintendo GameCube), but overall, he has managed to make the company generate profit and allowed some level of flexibility with his in-house developers. He'll be missed, but the legacy of the company still remains and it's holding onto the market as steadfast as possible.
GTA V Nerd Rage I was perfectly on the side of the manager, until she made a total fuck up. In the video, the guy wanted to show his business card for "valid ID"...but since it lacked sufficient information, he was pissed and had to show his actual driver's license. Well, the manager maintained her professional until..... ....she threatened to post his personal information. That prompted him to demand to give out her name and then he stormed out. In this scenario, both the manager and the customer were being dumbasses. And on top of that, because of her threat, she got fired. Watch the video below.
oy..... This lady invited that nonsense. People already know that male gamers are a special breed of folks. I'm not going to even sugar code it. It is the bad type of special. :smt081 Sell the man the game and point that it is the govenrment or business that has applied this rule. You are not at fault. But she didn't. She wanted to get the last hit when he left. :|
Come on bro, don't stereotype male gamers. When I worked customer service I dealt with people like this guy all the time. And it had nothing to do with being a gamer or a guy. Some people are just difficult.
I agree I should have used some. However, I feel that some of male gamers often overreact to a greater degree than your average folks. A good example is Mass Effect 3. After beating mass effect 3, I felt the ending was meh. I jumped online and many gamers had the most colorful words. You are also dealing with a very young set of folks who may not be mature enough. It isn't simply 18 to oldest age you can get too. All of this is to point out that she should have known better when dealing with this particular crowd. It was less of stereotyping male gamers and more of knowing how to deal with the type of customers you have. Just unfortunate friendly fire because I am a male gamer and thought well I'm taking a shot at me as well so ... no harm in it.
The rise of the angry man-boys is a product of our societies diminished value of traditional male behavior. So many dudes are confused and they don't have any clue as to what society expects from them, so they develop unhealthy attachments to masculine energy substitutes. Games, sports fanaticism, porn, etc.
Oh yeah, my favorite animated series is back. Looks like the conflict between siblings is going to be a theme in season as much as it was in the last season.
There have been a lot of Star Wars casting rumors, but this is the first rumor to really peak my interest. David Oyelowo and Michael B. Jordan are reportedly up for roles in the upcoming movie. http://www.ign.com/articles/2013/09/20/latest-star-wars-episode-vii-casting-rumors-include-david-oyelowo-and-michael-b-jordan I'm not sure if they are up for the same role. I hold out hope that maybe the movie makes the audacious step, of having more then one Black person in it. Some speculation is that the role is a relative of a previously introduced character. So that would narrow it down to Lando's son/grandson or Mace Windu's grandson/great-grandson. I hope if it's multiple different roles, at least one is a Jedi.
