Tony's personality have always been considered more cocky and a bit of an ass. That's how he's portrayed in the comics.

True. But I happened to like a lot of the animated DC Showcases and the people involved really knew how to create compelling stories. Heh, I just saw Catwoman 2011 animated short and the Superman/Captain Marvel video...and they were very entertaining.

I honestly don't know what's going on with the WB department and how they manage their teams into creating quality DC based movies.

It is funny because I was going to do the same comparison between the two but I stopped there due to not enough information.

Just because you are a founder doesn't mean that you are bigger than the leaders. JL has several founders but two always stand out.
I think when you look at Avengers. you see the two.

Regardless, Thor is a central character in the franchise. After all, he wouldn't have his own movie(s) if he didn't have much of a main moment per se.

When I watched the 90's show, I didn't see him like that. maybe I never liked the character to begin with.

He was still a bit of wise-ass on there...as shown below. Though, he would seemed a bit less tacky.

Certainly...but would you discredit Wonder Woman, Flash, or Aquaman as being non-main characters if they get movies AFTER the two big DC heroes?

I would know that they only got it because of the big two.probably a yes.

The funny thing is wonderwoman's reboot tv show was cancelled.
I believe they trashed what little idea of aquaman being a tv show.

Flash is a bit different. He isn't quite isolated as diana, thor and j'onn.

The reboot of Wonder Woman, I never saw...but the actress playing as the titular character may get a second chance if Gina Carano rejects the role of Wonder Woman.

Also, Aquaman was rumored to be a movie in the works, but it was just...an idea that never got off the ground, especially since he's considered to be joke superhero...until we've seen him in the more mature animated programs as of late...which showed him to be more of a badass.

And Diana maybe isolated from one world, but she's not jaded like Batman, for she actually adapts well into "man's world." As for the Flash, he's the young people's person. But here's the thing that I'm curious about...for Green Lantern...would we see a Hal Jordan or will the directors consider John Stewart?

no. John would have to get his own movie.
That's like putting Richard grayson in as batman.. Yes, there was another green lantern before hal but that's who all the comic book fans know of. Just like barry allen will always be the flash.

That would be a false equivalency. Batman have always been a Wayne, be it Thomas or Bruce (primarily), whereas the Green Lantern Corps is a very diverse group of people, and lately, John Stewart happens to be more popular than Hal Jordan and considered to have a better back story. The same goes with The Flash. Barry Allen will be the first Flash, and the best known one, but I doubt people would care much if they had Wally West instead.

The creator of the Justice League animated series purposely placed John Stewart in as the Green Lantern for the sole reason of diversity, as well as Hawkgirl, to add more females to the group. But he also appreciated the story of his as well, and found him more compelling to use. So, there's no need to fret about keeping things original.

Yes there are more than one green lanterns but they each protect their sector. The green lantern of the sector that includes earth is often depicted as Hal Jordan. The last movie starred which green lantern? The last tv series was around Hal Jordan as well.

And yet, in the animated series, John Stewart was protecting the Earth sector instead. Plus, given his popularity, the directors would curb this change anyway. Hal Jordan would be appropriate to keep faithful to the comics, but it wouldn't really amount to much anymore.

only due to not having any diversity in the justice league.

I honestly think it would be better for john to have his own movie. so he doesn't seem like a replacement.

I feel you here, but I don't think it's going to be John at GL. Did anyone peep the Easter eggs in The Man of Steel?

I noticed something on the TV show called Defiance last night. One of the alien teenagers was making fun of another by calling his human girlfriend "pink skin" I first noticed this on Star Trek Enterprise, one of the blue skinned Andorians kept refering to Humans as "pink skins". Now, both of these shows have dark skinned and brown people on them, yet The aliens can only see the "pink" people, ...........Hmmm

To me it is a lack of inteligence on the part of the writers. They aren't smart enough to realize how a diverse race like humanity would look to a single colored race of aliens. I think some people in the entertainment industry forget that there are more then just White people in the world.

Internet rumor is that at next month's San Diego Comic Con, Marvel Studios will be revealing that Doctor Strange will be "hub" character for there Phase 3 movies playing a role similar to that of Iron Man in the Phase 1 & 2 movies that lead up to the Avengers. What other Marvel characters that will be a part of Phase 3 may also be revealed as well as future plans for the characters from Phase 1 & 2.
