meh... I'm sorry but it just doesn't make up for young justice, green lantern and star wars. It looks good but to have three good shows traded for one. Just isn't right!! always comes down to toy sells!!!!1
How so? No one seemed confused with anything that happened with any of the movies prior to the Avengers nor do they seem like they will be confused with the upcoming Thor & Captain America sequels & how they fit with any Avengers sequels.
Well...here's the thing... Suppose Downey Jr. just plays Iron Man for the Avengers, yet simultaneously, another actor plays that same role in the Iron Man franchise (let's take Anton Yelchin for example)...that would be a little perplexing for those who follows the stories of the movies, especially since the individual superhero movies are meant to be tie-ins with The Avengers movie series,
Actually they traded for two shows. The Batman Beware show & this more comedy (and crappy) take on their Teen Titans series from several years back. Should have stuck with the original way they had this show if they were going to bring it back IMO.
Yeah...but did any of them partake in a Justice League movie? I don't care if they switch actors in those universes, but if we're talking tie-ins with a bigger project...then it would be perplexing.
I know about teen titans go. I just don't count it because it sucks so much horse crap. There is little to no action in it.
I would think that if they did any new Iron Man movies they wouldn't recast or make them until after the two Avengers featuring Downey had already been released. Why have Downey in the Avengers and not be in any Iron Man sequels? Why not have the new Tony Stark/Iron Man in the Avengers & the new Iron Man sequels? Simple, right?
It is unlikely for a JL movie to ever exist. The dynamics between superman, batman and wonder woman is difficult to write in a movie. It wouldn't. People wouldn't care who played the actor. As long as the movie is good. Yes, you will. The average folks aren't going to look as deep as you would. I mean sure I don't like downing. Sure the manadrain was green and asian. Sure Ironman in the 90's cartoon wasn't so showy. the movie was still did good.:smt102 from a financial point of view. Also how did you feel about the switch up with war machine? was that perplexing?
That's what I'm talking about actually. I'm just confused as to how they will manage this. Will they release two Avengers movies first, THEN two more Iron Mans? I use to think that with the whole Avengers idea, but Whedon managed to pull it off quite well, so if he can do it quite well, then get a talented person to work on the JL movie. It'd be interesting to get Katharine Bigelow to write a Justice League script. As for the War Machine switch up...it didn't bother me for the following reasons: 1. We've already known about it a long time ago because honestly, Terrance Howard sucked as a War Machine. 2. He's not a major character. 3. The Iron Man movies are just C- average at best.
I think the avengers had a better shot at it. their main stars were not so strong.Thor is a side character. The hulk is a loner that can barely speak in coherent sentences. You are left with ironman who up til recently could be easily killed and Captain america who the hulk could beat. How do you handle superman? He beat the friggin hulk. He is very smart. He is almost as fast as flash.Batman's personality eclipses superman and probably all of the avengers.:smt102 The bar is too high.
Ehhhhh...Thor is actually a main character of the Avengers. You're thinking of Hawkeye and Black Widow here there, bro. Are you sure your biases didn't cause you to have a bit of a screw lose? Your statements seem a little...off. As for the other part of your statement...if we can establish that we can make cartoon versions of the Justice League, which came from the comics, I don't see why they would have a hard time incorporating the characters into the group...otherwise, it would be unfeasible from the get go.
DC vs. Marvel There's no question that both companies are very successful and has a plethora of superheroes under their wing with memorable moments attached. But of all the years watching cartoon shows and live actions movies based on both comic companies, I'm noticing a pattern of which where each excels at. Surely, the directors, writers, art direction, etc... tend to determine which companies can produce better mediums, but overall, I think there's a fitting motif to it all. So the arguments I'm going to make are the following: 1. When it comes to animated shows and stores, DC eclipses Marvel in this respect. I say this because looking back in my childhood, and even to this day, I find many of the shows on the DC side much more compelling in terms of character, story, and quality. Whether we're talking Justice League, Batman: The Animated Series, Superman, and even to a lesser extent, the many incarnation of the Superfriends. Yes, I did watch and love Spider-Man and X-Men, and even to this day enjoy them, but they don't have the same kind of lasting appeal to me. 2. Marvel truly shines when live action shows or movies are involved. I have to admit, Spider-Man movies, The Avengers, and even the X-Men movies to a degree are leagues better than what the live action DC movies offered to the audiences. I really enjoyed the Tim Burton Batmans (first two), but I couldn't understand the hype behind the Christopher Nolan renditions of them. I find the Dark Knight trilogy severely overrated and tries too hard to come off as something compelling [and don't get me started on Heath Ledger]. The Superman movies were a hit and miss, but overall, not quite memorable. Conclusion: DC beats out Marvel in animation, whereas Marvel beats out DC in live-action shows/movies.
There are no new Iron Man movies coming down the line any time soon. So since Downey hasn't sign on to do anymore, best guess would be no new Iron Man movies until after Avengers 2 & Avengers 3 and most likely with a different actor taking up the Tony Stark/Iron Man role.
I don't see him as a main character. It is either an ironman or a captian america team. It isn't so much bias as those two get the spotlight most of the time. At least from the animated Tv point of view. Iron man had his own show. Captain america gets mentioned by spiderman. Thor is barely touched on in the 90's on the animated shows. I will agree to the bias if you are pointing to my bias towards animated shows though. I barely know anything about thor.
This is true. However, I feel if DC wasn't so broken in terms of bending over for Warner Bros, They might make a nice movie. Something close to batman under the red hood!
I hope this happens. I preferred when tony wasn't such an ass due to Downing. He came off as an intelligent yet selfish person. Downing just makes him look like an ass.
Thor is actually one of the "founding members" of the Avengers. Even if he's rarely seen in the earlier cartoon show or rarely used, he's still part of the Avengers. That's like saying Martian Manhunter is more of an additional member since he's rarely involved in missions in JL, especially the Unlimited version. The way how the Avengers team is structured is more loose fitting compared to the Justice League, which takes a more traditional and more organized, democratic approach to the concept of teams. The Avengers, on the other hand, act on a more socialist/communistic like structure in terms of assembling teams. Perhaps you need to put away the bias goggles and read up on some of the characters from the Marvel universe. Don't bother with the animated shows, but look up their wikia which provides a great deal of information about their strengths, abilities, and weaknesses and backstory.
