Unless some writer/writers who are BIG Bishop fans come along to handle stories he'd be involved in, I wouldn't hold my breath on that. If anything the way they would redeem based on the things you describe him doing, sacrificing himself in a heroic way to make up for his evil would be the more than likely route some writers would take with him. And unlike Jean Grey (primarily after the original Dark Phoenix story) or more recently Cable, Bishop would stay dead in order to give his self sacrifice meaning. At least that would be the rationale behind his not being resurrected like everyone else who has been killed off over the last decade plus.
Avengers 2 Script Features Quicksilver And Scarlet Witch From Bleeding Cool.com: This week’s Entertainment Weekly is leading with an Iron Man 3 cover story. They've managed to pull in some interviews to support this, including one with Kevin Feige that will apparently provide an overview of the remainder of Phase 2, and they've also gone out to secret sources for information. What they've come back with there is confirmation that Joss Whedon has indeed written Quicksilver and Scarlet Witch into his Avengers 2 screenplay. The magazine put this to Feige for an on-the-record comment and he played it cool, saying: I’m not confirming or denying. The draft could change six months from now. And indeed it could, but it’s likely, and it would have to be really rather fixed not long beyond that. Production on the next Avengers is set to start early next year and pre-production on movies of this scale can take a very, very long time – indeed, some elements of prep are already underway. There will come a point where the character list is locked, though – and personally, I’d expect we’re past that point. So the questions now are : If they are in the movie will they be mutants and if so will they be the son & daughter of Magneto?
Good question, but I believe Fox has exclusive rights to Magneto. So They will either re-write their origin or they will dance around it. It would be cool if Whedon got special permission from Fox to use Magneto, or at least to use his name and to imply the existence of mutants in the Cinematic Avengers world.
True, but there was talk/rumor that Quicksilver & Scarlet Witch, being that they have ties to both the Avengers & X-Men (and the Fantastic Four if you count Quicksilver being married to Crystal of the Inhumans but that wouldn't have any play with the movies however),could be used as the bridge characters between the characters Marvel Studios has the use of & the characters like X-Men that are licensed out, considering that the licenses will expire eventually and Marvel Studios will more than likely take control of any & all characters that were licensed out prior to it's creation. So this could be a possible way for them to seed things in the Marvel Studio movies in anticipation of reacquiring the licensed characters for possible future movies.
Black Human Torch!? Some reports say they are considering Michael B. Jordan (Chronicle) to play Johnny Storm in The Fantastic Four reboot. http://www.ign.com/articles/2013/05/02/chronicles-michael-b-jordan-frontrunner-to-play-fantastic-fours-human-torch?abthid=51829db0173b78e765000008 Bring on the racist nerds.
Why would they do that? Its just gonna piss off fans. Why not focus a Blade reboot and put a black dude in that
Don't see it happening. Ben Grimm would be the character I could see them making black. Some of his background history fits the mold from his growing up in an alleged bad neighborhood, to the football background. When they were planning the Ultimate version of the Fantastic Four the original plan was to make Ben Grimm black, but that got axed once it was revealed Ultimate Nick Fury was going to be black. If they did do it they would probably play the "adoption card" or that Johnny is probably her half brother rather than full brother. Again, I still don't see it happening however.
Marvel Studios Now Controls Rights to Ghost Rider and Blade From Slashfilms.com : While Sony raced to the finish line to keep the rights to Spider-Man, the same can’t be said for another major character. Rewind: a few years back, the studio was in danger of losing the rights to the webslinger after Spider-Man 3. Director Sam Raimi couldn’t come to terms on a fourth film and if Sony didn’t get a film in production within a certain time frame, Spider-Man would have been in danger of joining Marvel’s The Avengers. That’s why, just five years after its last sequel, Marc Webb’s reboot The Amazing Spider-Man was born. Recently, rights packages lapsed for several Marvel characters once licensed to other studios, such as the Punisher and Daredevil, bringing them back to Marvel. Two more names can now be added to that list, according to Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige. A new interview confirms that despite last year’s Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance, Marvel once again controls the rights to both Ghost Rider, formerly at Sony, and Blade, formerly at New Line. The news came from the upcoming issue of Entertainment Weekly. Here’s Feige: Whenever a character comes back to us, it’s usually because the other studios don’t want to make the movies anymore – and that usually means the [previous] movies may not have been particularly well-received. Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance grossed only $50 million domestic and $132 million total. Not exactly a smash hit. However just because these iconic characters are back, don’t expect a Ghost Rider Marvel movie from Disney yet: They all have potential, but we’re not going to say ‘We got it back – make it.’ The article goes on to point out that, so far, they’ve geared towards characters who have yet to have big screen stories. Ghost Rider, Blade and Punisher in particular are rooted in violence. The fact that Marvel is owned by Disney likely means we won’t be getting films starring them anytime soon. Heck, Marvel could even license them back out if they wanted. But Phase Three is still in flux, and who knows what’s happening after that.
Pixar Justice League.... ......not really considering Pixar's affiliation with Disney & Disney owns Marvel, but Pixar concept artist Daniel Araya just for fun did some 3D concept designs for Justice League characters if he & fellow creators at Pixar were given a chance to do an animated film version of DC's superhero team.
^^^ Very cool I would love to see a Justice League done in this style. Although, why do Wonder Woman and Green Lantern look like they just ate some bad seafood?
I'm assuming because both characters have a military/warrior background that those are their "war faces" in the Pixar style.
They already did that for Hal Jordan on the Greenlatern cartoon that they canceled. Why do they keep canceling shows that get good reception? Makes no sense to me.
Money & merchandising. At least that's what it seems to have been with the shows that have been canceled on Cartoon Network. Even if a show has strong viewership if they can't merchandise the hell out of it on multiple levels and make money, then the show is not worth continuing to produce.
I thought Young Justice would do that for them. It seems like the days of merchandising are over though. Kids don't seem to want physical stuff as much as virtual shit
Ummm....yeah....I don't know where you're seeing that at because trust me kids are still into physical stuff. If it's not toys, games or DVDs, then it's clothing items or bling/jewelry of some kind.
