Step up is one of the worst movie rip off's ever! It is a movie they got out about a whiteboy hip hop dancer who meets and fall in love with a white female ballet dancer. Think "Save the last dance" the same race version.
Yeah, I know. I saw the commercial for it. This is the way Hollywood is. White kids in hip hop movies like this puts white kids in those theater seats. Never mind that many in real life don't come from that background. It's all about smart marketing and ultimately making money. Just remember that god awful "From Justin to Kelly" American Idol movie. Jeez!!! What genius producer thought up that one.
Not surprising in my book. Just what we need, another ultra-liberal dance-showdown film about nothing, over nothing, for nothing at all, but to fatten the pockets of the fat cats of Hollywood.
You could tell what the creators were thinking. If we make a ripoff of save the last dance with white people. It can make more then with the mixed cast.
If i could pay you guys for all the accurate conclusions, i'd pay you so much and more 8). By the way, have you not noticed and seen that whites would openly celebrate anything that is defined "cool" by the media(98% of the time its black-oriented) as long as it is not coming from black folks. For example, "John Tucker Must Die" and "She's The Man". If you have watched both, you'd see what i am saying.
Also I remember that Vanilla Ice flick Cold As Ice. It was horrible! Ice is really the zero instead of the hero in that movie.
Don't know but I'm not surprised. I just want to know what the hell Ashanti was doing in that movie. lol.
