What's to bump? "The way she sees it, if the bad guys are armed to the teeth, then the good guys should be able to defend themselves". Co-sign that till I die. Like I've said before, the day the criminals put down their guns is the day I do.
She thinks owning guns is kind of self fulfilling prophecy. It invites violence into your life. Shes also convinced having one makes a person more likely to be violent after a messy break up. Its complety irrational but theres no changi g her mind. Last time she spent the night I had to bring mine to my mothers. Its aggrivating as hell.
I feel her on the messy break-up part because it does happen, but if a man/woman is hell bent on killing you, a knife has been a pretty popular choice. Meh, this is where I step in and say...'u realize yer dating a crazy man?, girl this is where you NEED a gun!. And wha? at removing it entirely? What if someone breaks in?? I understand her fear, because before I came to appreciate my gun I was dating a Sergeant and he'd always wear his gun off-duty...so I'd make him put it on the night-stand where I could SEE it (and know it wouldn't go off), I was so scared. But I never would've have asked him to not bring it, lol. She might come around. I eventually did.
NRA and The GOP believe the right to own guns and use them recklessly supersede the right to live and walk around unimpeded
Exactly. I wish someone could explain how keep guns out of the hands of responsible gun owners makes us all safer. It wont stop criminals from grtting them.
