The Ladies' Man (Tim Meadows) actually got to tap some WW in the flick...even though he eventually ende up with a biracial lady (Karyn Parsons from 'The Fresh Prince of Bel Air').

    Julianne Moore:

Okay movie, but a couple of things I noticed. 1. Julianne Moore was in full clown make up if i remember correctly (terrible waste).

And 2. The scene with Sofia Milos deosn't count IMO. Reason being, he never actually touches her. If you watch their "sex scene" carefully you'll notice they are never in the camera frame together.

It was OKAY, but there was way too much editing in the film to me.

You're being a little picky about things in this flick. Think about the concept of the flick: An African American Hugh Hefner-type character who gets with ladies of all colors....though mostly with white, biracial. Has anything like it been made since????

I don't know if i'm really all that picky. Like I said, I thought it was okay, (meaning the rest of the movie) but I wouldn't count a sex scene where the couple never get near each other. I guess everybody has their minimum standard of what a good ir scene is. For some, the Pelican Brief is a good IR movie simply because Denzel and Julia share screen time. Others will count an implied romance, where the intimacy is mentioned in dialog rather than shown. I'm actually not interested in anything implied, ie: the couple goes into the room and close the door, then they show the sun rising the following morning and the couple coming out of the room smiling. I don't really count scenes like that.

To make an ir scene any good you need ,at minimum, a screen kiss. So "The Ladies Man" definitely gets major points for even showing a Casanova type BM. The parts with Tiffany Theissen and Parsons were fine. It's gotta lose at least a few points for the non sex scene between Meadows and Milos. Especially since I found her to be the hottest one in the movie. If they showed him with anybody it should have been her. I do like the movie, I just thought Sofia Milos was wasted. And Julianne moore as well.

The interesting thing about Ladies' Man, is that the director was Black: Reggie Hudlin (I met him in LA many years ago)....so, he could have done almost whatever he wanted. Perhaps, he didn't want to overemphasize the "sex" part; I don't know.

I would like to do (write) a movie similar to this, but with Blair Underwood in mind as the star.

Sounds good. I'd invest in that if I had the cash. Blair Underwood's a good choice. Maybe you could find something for Taimak (The Last Dragon) as well. I always thought he should've been bigger.

Not only was the movie based on a Saturday Night Live concept, but the character was raised by Hugh Hefner in the Playboy Mansion. It was shown in the movie.
