I joined this forum around 2003, and for number of years my idea of 'interracial' seemed very real as I posted here. Then I begun taking deep interest in how my mind works & a lot of eastern spirituality. (enlightenment, god-realisation universal oneness-one consciousness etc.) As I became more in-tuned with this way of living and understanding the world from a perspective of oneness I slowly begin to drift away from ideas that led to feelings of separation from others in life. My idea of 'interracial love' had started fading & was being replaced by just Love alone. For a general perspective. We feel separate from others only when we DESCRIBE them. Only In the world of descriptions does separation seems real. only in a world where we LABEL each other. As black or white or asian etc. do we feel that we're separate. & it is this false feeling of separation which now gives rise to a false unity called 'interracial'. It is only unity in thought. Not in the heart. To further explain this. Colour is one being when not described. It is ONE being expressing itself in many ways. Only when we begin to describe colour in its many expression. black, yellow, blue, white. does the idea of separate colours begin to appear real. By dividing this one being (colour) through labeling it, we prevent ourselves from seeing its true state, oneness. Same applies to humans. by labeling & describing the ONE human race. We create the illusion of separate humans, when in reality it's only separate thoughts within our mind which we've created. On a deeper level. The mind is singular. ONE being voicing itself differently each time. meaning the same thought that says "white" is the same thought which says "black". since the thought itself isn't separate from each other, then neither can black or white be separate from each considering it is the one Mind that gives rise to both ideas. ONE SOURCE= two illusions. for these two illusions to consider themselve interracial they've missed the point. The point being there were never TWO of them but the one thought voicing itself differently twice. This is important due to be fact that we all seek true love. & to truly love someone you must first KNOW who you're loving. It's impossible to love truthfully if the lover has a false idea in his mind that prevents him from seeing the person's true being. black is a thought. white is a thought. to fall in love with either is to fall in love with illusion. we've forgotten spirit. we've forgotten oneness. The descriptions we've created within our minds prevents us from seeing the oneness our heart knows. Heart Loves because it knows Love alone exist. Mind cannot love cause it sees separation even when loving. It still sees the lover as different from itself. a different colour, a different personality. Love is unity. & once there is unity descriptions/mind/separation ceases to exists and love alone remains.
This is a great post and I've boosted your reputation power, not sure how it was overlooked by others here. This is a similar philosophy that I share. I honestly don't really care about race when I'm seeking a significant other. All kinds of women turn me on. I don't quite know how to explain it or why it is, but for me, it isn't necessarily about race. However, I can't speak in place for everyone though. Some people prefer only one race of women or men and I'm not the type of person to speak openly about it or question their preference. For instance, my mother only prefers a relationship with other black men. White men have expressed interest in her, but she decided to say "no" to it.
