The Hubble Space Telescope

It's hard to believe that 19 years has gone by since the Hubble Space Telescope was sent into space to expand our knowledge of the universe. Can you believe that prior to that telescope being built many question why the money was spent building such a thing. The anti-science crowd almost won on this one too, the same thinking that question why build planes that fly or build rockets to go into space.
