I appreciate the feedback, but I thought I did a good job hiding my southern accent. :p Still, you're absolutely right...I do need a good bit of cleaning up if I want to present a horrific narration. But what do you mean by "muted tone"? :)

Not a bad start; just needs a bit of tightening up. Something that I think would make it better would be doing in a more muted tone...like a telling ghost stories around the campfire kind of thing. Also, be careful of your diction...there was a bit of southernness coming out here & there (gettin', clearin', realizin'). Keep playing around with it, and keep an eye out for more stories that inspire you so you can really get into them. :smt023

You did do a good job with the accent for the most part. Basically it's just softer with a lower volume and to add an eerie quality.
